My wife and I celebrated her birthday by driving 5 miles north from our home in Mt. Lebanon and spending the night at the Parador Inn. The Parador is located in the Northside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. We were met at the door by one of the owner's, Ty, who proceeded to give us a tour of the wonderful Inn. The...

From the moment I walked into the main hallway of The Parador Inn I knew that I was in a very special place. This restored Victorian mansion is beyond grand with original stained glass windows, beautiful hardwood floors, fireplaces in virtually every room, and lavish furnishings with a Caribbean touch. Every room has its own story and style and really...

The Parador Inn is a terrific alternative to a hotel. The location is perfect if you're going to see a game. You are a 10 minute walk to the stadiums and attractions along the North Shore Riverfront Park. You're also a short distance across the bridge to Downtown. This is a historic home so expect it to be old (e.g.,...

We spent one evening at the Parador in the African Tulip Room. Amazing experience overall; beautiful room and mansion filled with charm and gorgeous furnishings! If you have an attention to detail you will love this place! Ed was a fantastic host and served a delicious breakfast in the morning (plentiful stuffed french toast, bacon, pear parfaits, pumpkin bread). Again,...

I appreciate Gwen taking the time to give this feedback. I also appreciate her mentioning things she liked and didn't. I take both positive and negative comments to heart and do try and learn and improve on this feedback. I wish she was more specific when saying my breakfasts were so-so. The breakfast breads we served each morning we made...

This is a historic inn with incredible moldings and hardwoods. Fireplaces (gas) and ambience in every room. The hosts were wonderful - great recommendations for dinner, interested in us, and excellent cooking (breakfast). A ten minute walk to the train and/or Heinz Field. Old neighborhood area - Beech St. - and close to the park. Well worth staying here.

We stayed at The Parador Inn over Labor Day weekend. It is a wonderful B&B. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were yummy. The Parador is within walking distance of both Heinz Field and PNC Park, The National Aviary (Ed has discount tickets for the aviary as well as other attractions) and other sites. On site parking is...

If you are looking for your standard chain hotel/motel stay the Parador is not for you. If however you want something different that makes your stay in Pittsburgh unique the Parador is an excellent and quirky option. Great central location with the added benefit of on-site parking. Interesting and calm public areas with the garden being a particular delight during...

Neat place to relax and enjoy Pittsburgh. We had never been to Pittsburgh and got lucky to have stayed at the Parador Inn. The room was huge, the ceilings are at least 12 feet high, the furnishings throughout the home are interesting. The outdoor gardens are beautiful and relaxing. It is conveniently located walking distance from the baseball and football...
