It was like staying with friends! Welcoming, delightful, intimate, gracious. We were introduced as "guests" to family members and other "guests". We felt welcome, not as outsiders, or intruders. The breakfast and snacks were delicious - especially Dave's custom made "It's a crock" and Carrie's hot oatmeal, made "vegan" by special request. All in all, a wonderful time was had.

My girlfriend & I were looking for a nice, quiet, friendly spot to get away for an evening & we found the perfect spot. It's in a beautiful country setting that's just a few miles from downtown State College. The house was immaculate, the rooms were warm & inviting, and the host & hostess could not have been more generous... More

We felt welcome right from the moment that Dave and Carrie greeted us at the door. Everything seemed generous, from the stocked public fridge (juice, water, soda and beer), to the nicely decorated, very comfortable sunroom and outdoor deck. We stayed in room two, which was very nice for us; it overlooks the front of the home, and has plenty... More

My husband and I headed to State college for a concert and all the hotels in the area were sold out. We shifted gears and started looking at B&B places. This place was a hit! I called and booked a room. We arrived late after the concert. Room was quaint and neat- perfect for what we needed. Bed was super... More

I've done quite a few B&Bs and, let's be honest, they're a crap shoot. The host that supposedly makes the most amazing cookies turns out to be a curmudgeon and the rooms with the amazing view often has no soap or toilet paper. The Limestone Inn put all those old stories to shame. The grounds are beautufl and immaculate, as... More

Karen is the perfect hostess. She is gracious, helpful, serves a delicious breakfast and makes you feel at home instantly. Most rooms are on the second floor and one room on the first floor might appeal to those with mobility issues. I have visited the Limestone Inn many times and will be back. The inn is on the edge of... More

We stayed at the Limestone as a result of reading other TA comments and were looking for a location in central Pennsylvania to break up a long driving trip. As we had stayed in Bellefonte on a previous trip and liked the area, we decided to check out State College this time. The Limelight was an excellent choice. You do... More

Karen was very welcoming and a source of good information on the local community. Our daughter will be moving to State College in the summer and Karen helped us get to know the area and gave us good pointers on restaurants and hikes. The room was great and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our time there--like visiting a good... More
