We went to a comedy night at Shadowbrook. There were about 200 people in the banquet hall and the kitchen had a limited menu as could be expected. Limited menu, fast service, right? Well, we ordered at our table (an 8-top). Some of us got...More
I rate this room a 4 star. I was upgraded to a suite. King Size Bed, Queen Size Bed. Lounging Chair. Refridge and microwave. Bathroom was large and clean. Had an outside deck with two chairs. Continental breakfast was well stocked and fresh.

This hotel was built decades ago when my great grandmother was one of the original housekeepers so it does have a bit of nostalgia attached to it for me. You can see that in its heyday, it was more than likely a very nice roadside...More
We stayed here for my cousin's wedding. The rooms were large but outdated. The water smelled of sulfur so we couldn't drink it or make our daughters bottles with it. The reception hall was pretty but the air conditioning wasn't working properly.

Hi, Shadowbrook Staff!
Looking forward to a great golf outing weekend with our family, this coming Labor Day weekend. I'm hoping that you're paying attention to your TripAdvisor reviews, as we see them often and write here as well. One of the things we note is that the tap water has a fairly sulfurous odor and taste. True?
Planning on bringing our own bottled water for drinking on the golf course, but wondering if this is true for showering. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't recall an odor, but you may want to bring or buy bottled water locally. Most of the area runs off well water. Depending water table levels the water can change. You will only be a short drive from town. There is a darling little old fashioned grocery store called Brick's market. I would not waste the space of bringing water but I would certainly go to Brick's to buy it.
