There are not enough words to explain or describe what a wonderful bed and breakfast this place is. Jean and Jim are such fabulous hosts, great conversationalists, and excellent cooks. A special shout-out to Cameron who was indeed a great help to his grandmother this weekend. We enjoyed our stay for the second time in York made even more fabulous...

The outside of this Queen Anne beauty is only matched by the sumptuous interiors. Lovingly restored by the owners, it is a step back in time. The hosts were charming and lovely to talk to, just like old friends. The delicious breakfast prepared by Jean filled us up for the rest of the day. If you have any reason to...

We selected this B and B based on geography and all things Victorian. It was wonderful. We were married 4 weeks ago and our stay felt like more honeymoon! This home has been lovingly and accurately restored by the owners from a property damaged by many years of neglect to a beautiful and warm Victorian gem. Our room and bath...

Quite possibly the best test of anywhere is its consistent wonderfulness. That is Lady Linden. My husband and I have visited three times and I have been there four. Every visit brings a new discovery and a wonderfully warm, relaxing experience. Just try to help clear the table and we are reminded that we are on vacation. Sit and visit...

Wife and I came back to town for her high school reunion. Decided to stay at a bed and breakfast instead of local hotel. This home has been wonderfully and painstakenly resored to look as it had when it was built in the late 1800s. Had a glass of wine with the owners when we arrived and had a wonderful...

We stayed a single night at the Lady Linden and found the place to be quiet and cozy with the owners Jim and Jean being very friendly and helpful. York is in the process of building up its downtown area. During the day the market area is full of great places to eat for lunch and the night has several...

I won't take time to repeat all the superlatives about the accommodations already covered in the other reviews. Jean and Jim are a delightful and the components not to be found at other B&B's. They are terrific company and you surely won't find a better breakfast than what Jean prepares. Save the ticket to London and just have some of...

Maybe it was the hootenanny with Jim at the end of the day, when we got out the bourbon and guitars and sang in harmony. Maybe it was being allowed to come in through the kitchen door (often forbidden territory in B&Bs). Maybe it was that Lady Linden is more Jean and Jim's home than it is a business. We...

The most significant difference between our recent stay at Lady Linden's and other B&B's my wife and I have stayed over the years was the fantastic hospitality, warm conversations, and the intimacy created by the owners Jean and Jim. Their restored Victorian home is one of the most beautiful homes I have seen as a B&B and Jean and Jim...

Lady Linden is a delightful B & B. The house is a beautifully and meticulously restored Victorian gem, but caters to our 21st century notions of comfort. The hosts were most gracious and personable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, with pleasant conversation with our hosts.
