This hotel has two things going for it: location and a great staff. Otherwise, honestly, it's in pretty miserable shape. I was rather shocked honestly. this was a girls' weekend and I booked a suite for us in case the weather was bad and also so we had some space. Specifically, I booked the bi-level suite which looked interesting. Well,...

My wife and I decided to stay here for our stayaction. We usually stay at a different Hilton hotel close to the airport. However we decided to change things up. We cannot say how much we enjoyed our one night stay at your hotel. The valet attendant was very nice and they were very fast. The lobby is beautiful, my...

The Doubletree was a really nice place to stay for a long weekend. The location cannot be beat, right next to the Market which is walking distance from most places. I found the hotel to be in great shape and well appointed. The #1 asset of this hotel is the people. From front desk, to valet, to housekeeping, to management,...

Stayed and had a conference here; the food was great. Beds comfortable and slept well. Checked in through HHonors a few days ahead and picked my room. The location can't be beat! Parking was expensive via valet and not too many choices locally except parking garages blocks away for slightly cheaper.

While this is clearly not a 5 Star hotel or even 4 Star based on the somewhat "tired" quality of the room I occupied, it's PRIME location in historic downtown Charleston, price point and the high quality and thoughtfulness of the staff from the front door to the cleaning crew made this feel like a 5 star vacation. I would...

A Great American City with a storied history, charming architecture and really nice people! Many excellent Restaurants with wonderful food and good shopping. Charleston feels like a more sophisticated New Orleans in many ways but, is uniquely Southern at heart.

Everything was perfect. The parking fee was a surprise. Public parking is difficult to find. Service was excellent. Check in was friendly and helpful. The room was the best we've ever stayed in. Internet was working and a reasonable speed. A warm cookie was offered upon check in. Nice! The hotel was quite and very professional, warm and inviting. They're...

Hotel located in Historic downtown close to shopping and great restaurants. Good value for the money. Room a little dark, bathroom small. Staff friendly and helpful. Could hear footsteps at night, recommend top floor.

This is a great hotel in excellent location, but Every time I stay here I write up how unusual, and unsatisfactory, it is that the fitness center does not open until 8:00AM. Business travelers that need to be to work at 0800 can never use the fitness center in the morning. Of all the hotels - including all Hiltons and...

Management response:

Dear Gary M, Thank you for you feedback regarding your visit. I apologize about the situation with the Fitness Center. I do agree that they hours will ideally be earlier and we are reviewing to see how this can be changed. The reason for the late opening is due to the noise that is transferred into guest rooms from the...
