We stayed in the carriage house before Christmas for an anniversary trip and Julie made sure we had a wonderful time from our first minute there until we headed back to the airport. The location of 21 East Battery was great for morning and afternoon walks. The carriage house was perfect for two or for a family and had plenty...

We have stayed in the Carriage House as well as the Quarters. They are both exceptional. Basically, with either, you have a home. The Carriage House is gorgeous, 2 floors with a baby grand piano, beautiful architectural details, a balcony...the Quarters is also wonderful, with working (gas) fireplaces in both bedrooms (which have 4 poster beds) and also in living...

Our stay in the carriage house of 21 East Battery was perfection. The house is gorgeous and spacious, and we were honored to call it home for our 3 days in Charleston. Debbie, the caretaker, made our stay extra special and was available but never intrusive. We even met the owner and her dog, who were also lovely. My husband...

I have stayed at bed and breakfasts all over the US and in Four Seasons Resorts all across the world, yet my stay here at the 21 East Battery has by far been one of the most charming, relaxing and peaceful vacations... I highly recommend it! Quaint and quiet... it is a jewel on the battery...Julie was a most wonderful...

Fine accommodations enthusiastically managed by Innkeeper Julie Lucas. Very special daily breakfast. we stayed in the "the quarters," which are spacious enough for four family members. Centrally located for enjoyment of the very best of the city.

We were two couples traveling to Charleston to enjoy the Spoletto and Piccolo Spoletto events. We wanted to stay in the historic district near the battery to enjoy early morning and evening walks in the neighborhood and along the battery. We were fortunate enough to find availability at the 21 East Battery B&B ideally located right on the Battery. Reservations...

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a most relaxing vacation in the carriage house. The house was beautiful and comfortable. Highlights were the morning quiche, fresh fruit and coming home each day with a fresh baked treat on the table. The Magnolia tree outside the bedroom window bloomed for us. How did they plan that? The bed was comfortable and...

Thank you for making us a part of your Anniversary, and a extended part of your family as well! A positive to that July heat was the blooming Magnolia, so for each challenge you can see the reward. Please keep us in mind with upcoming celebrations, and thank you for your kind words.

Marvelous! Marvelous! Marvelous! The 21 E Battery Bed and Breakfast, located on the grounds of the Edmondston-Alston house is in the heart of the historic district, and directly across the street from the Battery promenade. The innkeeper, Julie, is not only informative, but is also graciously thoughtful. In general conversation, we shared we were visiting Charleston to celebrate our 32nd...

We have stayed in a number of places in the Charleston area, and this place is hands-down the best. The location is ideal: a little more quiet than the hotels near Market street, but still in the heart of historic Charleston. The South-of-Broad location makes you feel less like a tourist, and more like a local living in the most...

This is a rare chance to stay in the very best location in a historic home. Quiet, tasteful and meticulously and lovingly looked after, this property lends a travel experience from another time. The innkeeper, Julie, is warm and friendly and most assuredly means business when it comes to the enjoyment of your stay. This is not a hotel, but...
