My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. Best choice we've ever made. Everything was perfect! Julie was fantastic, taking care of every little detail - she deserves 10 stars. The B&B was absolutely incredible - we loved all the books, the furnishings, and all the history! It was like stepping back in time. We can't wait to...

We've stayed at quite a few B&B's and view the 21 East Battery carriage house as excellent. If you want a quite, roomy, comfortable place to stay close to downtown Charleston that has homemade breakfast/snack items, look no further. Stayed over Thanksgiving 2013 and will book again on returning to Charleston.

What a wonderful three days! Our host, Julie was perfect. She made great quiche; provided bottled water, other essentials and fine fruit. She even made our check-out very convenient in connection with our flight schedule. The Carrage House is charming and has all the things one needs. The books and history associated with the property were most interesting and information....

My husband and I come to Charleston all the time but this was our first stay at 21 East Battery. We Stayed in the Carriage House in the back of the Edmonston/Alston House. What a beautiful property!! Everything was so clean and the Inn keeper had a yummy banana bread made for us waiting in the kitchen :) The bed...

Excellent location and fun tie in to the historic Edmonton-Alston House made it memorable. We stayed in old Slave Quarters which was set up with 2 bedrooms on the upstairs and kitchen lounge area downstairs. Gas fireplace downstairs and in one bedroom, 2nd bedroom had a jacuzi bathtub. Julie supplied a home cooked quiche daily along with banana bread cake...

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We stayed in the carriage house (separate from the main house). It is absolutely gorgeous and so spacious. I cannot say enough about this historically decorated home overlooking a lovely garden just steps away from the battery. Not only is the location perfect, Julie,...

This is an opportunity that should not be missed. The B&B accommodation is in a separate house at the rear of the unique Edmonston-Alston House on the Battery waterfront. The accommodation is beautifully arranged over 2 floors with a superb bedroom and large lounge. The kitchen is great and is located alongside a wonderful dining room on the ground floor....

We have been to Charleston many times and have stayed at a variety of hotels and B&Bs. 21 East Battery was our favorite by far, and Julie the innkeeper was a huge reason! We arrived late and found she had lit the fireplace for us and left a yummy banana bread for us as well as breakfast items for the...

The B&B is very quiet and convenient, a short 10 minute walk to most of the attractions in Charleston. The B&B is located in an area of stately homes and is in a prime location, in fact a new television show was being filmed one block over during our stay. Across the street from the B&B is the battery and...

This B&B has unique accommodations, the first floor has a Kitchenette and sitting area with a tv and very comfortably fits two couples. The second floor has two large rooms with private baths. So my wife and I and ours friends spent two very comfortable nights here. The location is perfect right across from Charleston harbor and only a short...
