My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Providing a tip or gratuity is always appreciated in the hotel business and never expected. That said, there are some hotel positions that are more reliant on gratuities than others. These include food and beverage servers, bellmen, doormen, and valets. Resources such as TripAdvisor and Emily Post Institute provide travel/resource guides that list specific dollar amounts that are appropriate. However, feel free to be as generous as you like, if you feel that the service you have received is worthy of it. I hope this information is helpful!
