I realize everyone is different and have different tastes. We have stayed there 3 times for a couple of days of R&R. We have stayed on all three floors. The first floor was the best. Don't get a room over the roof in nice weather. There was an apparent party on the roof and we could hear every word. The...

Thank you very much for repeatedly choosing the Ansonborough Inn. It means a lot to everyone here when we see a familiar face walk in the door and we have the privilege of saying, "Welcome Back!" That being said, I am disappointed that we haven't "wowed" you. We are always happy to honor room requests and will always try our...

We are South Carolinians who visit Charleston a few times a year and had noticed the Ansonborough Inn on previous trips. A business trip took us to Charleston and we decided to extend by one day and stay at the Ansonborough. We could not have been more pleased. The Inn is tucked back enough to feel off-the-beaten-path, but in actuality,...

Beautiful old Inn with large beautiful rooms. Only a few blocks from shopping, restaurants and waterfront. Complimentary wine and cheese in evening and breakfast in morning. I gave four stars since it doesn't have onsite restaurant but there are plenty nearby. Great for business or romantic weekend

We spent three nights here, and were extremely happy with our choice. The hotel itself is in a great location for walking to historical sites in Charleston, restaurants, carriage tours, grocery store, etc. The hotel is very unique...a converted warehouse with exposed beams, very high ceilings, lots of character. We had mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, and they...

Our group of four took a one night trip to Charleston to celebrate a birthday. Picked out this hotel after hearing all the great hype. It did not disappoint! I've never been in a hotel room before with an aged brick interior. I could of stayed in the room and admired the layout all afternoon. It was just incredible. We...

At first impression, it is out of the way, but the location is actually excellent. Close enough to walk through the historic district, but not in the middle of things. Comfortable, large rooms. Modest 'continental' breakfast. TV was way too small for the room. Helpful, friendly staff, though the housekeeping was a little quirky.. I would stay there again.

We could walk one block in three directions to get to downtown restaurants or bars but didn't have to deal with the noise which was fantastic. The room was spacious and very clean. We stayed for New Years Eve to hit the town after Christmas. The location was good-which was important to us. About a 10-15 minute walk from anything you'd want to do or see in Charleston. The hotel was expertly decorated and felt like an old English inn. It was extremely clean, and the breakfast and wine and cheese was very...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and we both loved this hotel. It's charming and the rooms, Lobby, and decor are beautiful.
