This is a beautiful hotel. The amenities are top notch. The location is amazing and the beach close and beautiful. The food I ate at this hotel was delicious, but pricey. My complaint is that the set up of the hotel with the open hallways with no security doors makes every hallway a cut through trail for people trying to get from one part of the property to the other. It was nice that there were signs saying to please be quiet, but it was impossible to get a good nights' sleep here. The doors/walls are paper thin, and all night long I would hear people yelling, shouting, laughing and flip flops clacking as I was trying to sleep. While I realize that people are on vacation and having a fun time, it made for a very difficult three nights' sleep in your hotel. At least the party bar in the parking lot would turn down their music around 10 pm which was appreciated. There were no obvious signs of any Covid protective measures at this hotel and the staff looks at you funny if you’re wearing a mask.…
This year marks 31 years staying at this property and as always we had a wonderful 5 night vacation. The staff here is wonderful from Alyssa at checkin, Alex at the bell stand who unloaded our car and brought all of our stuff to our room and Mary at the Concierge desk. I even had the privilege of meeting Calvin Belknap the General Manager when I asked about the new location for pool towel distribution one morning. The housekeeping staff are always friendly and willing to help with any needs. Everything here is designed for guest satisfaction, the oversized kitchenette rooms with balcony, the wonderful pools, poolside drinks and food and the selections in the Palmetto Cafe. We bring our own bikes and there is plenty of space in both parking lots to lock them up after our morning bike rides. The beach is right there and we rent chairs and umbrellas from the Beach Patrol lifeguard who sets them up every morning. Our family highly recommends the Omni Hilton Head Resort and we will be back as soon as possible.…
I’ll start with the good. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The grounds were very nice and clean. But wow, 10 hours of sleep in 4 nights isn’t healthy or fun. Room was hot. Never cooled less than 73. But thermostat would cut unit off like it had reached the set temp. Sweated every night. Sent maintenance to fix but I think it’s an intentional thermostat trick to save money. Comforter weighed 25lbs and was way to heavy and hot. Extracurricular noise was horrible. You could everything outside, in hall, above and below. We left a day early.
We booked the Omni Hilton based on photos and reviews. We spent a mon through a thurs at the resort in an ocean view King suite. The room was large, clean, and tasteful. We stopped at a grocery store on the way for breakfast, lunch, and beverages since the room also included a mini kitchen. We splurged on beach chair/umbrella rental and dinner out during our stay. The resort pools are large and the atmosphere is festive with steel drum music during the day. Hilton Head is now another favorite east coast beach and town!
Stayed for 4 nights. Although it is an older resort, it was very clean, all staff very friendly and our room was great. The pools and hot tubs were fantastic and the beach was huge, very clean and wide enough packed sand to ride bikes on We will definitely be returning. The on-site restaurants were good but very pricey. There are however many affordable choices nearby.
