My husband found Abingdon Manor on a list of the Best B&Bs in the south, Garden and Gun magazine... He pestered me for months wanting to know when we were going..so I made reservations for our Anniversary. It is out of the way...in a quiet neighborhood..You come up on it with its lovely lawn and gardens...Like a gracious dowager holding...

Two couples stayed at Abingdon Manor in April, 2016. We stayed the weekend and also participated in the cooking school. Abingdon is a beautiful b & b - both our rooms were very comfortable, Patty and Mike are very attentive and helpful, the food is delicious, and the cooking school was great! A fun weekend! Wonderful experience. Curtis greeted us when we arrived and assisted us with our luggage and to our room. Provided us with ice for our water. When the innkeeper filling in for the owners arrived she checked on us, introduced herself and made sure we had everything we needed. Porches, both upper and lower are perfect for relaxing before dinner. Dinner...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoy stopping over at Abingdon Manor on our way to our son's home in fla. or on our way home. The Inn is immaculate, the breakfasts and dinners are excellent and Michael and Patty are just top notch. They do a great job and always go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable....

We have been here before, and it was a wonderful experience, but our next visit was disappointing. We left still hungry, the recipes had been modified and weren't authentic, some parts of the meal were store-bought, dessert undercooked, charged for each little thing - juice before and coffee after, some of the courses were way too small, but the experience...

We were sorry to hear that our guest had a less enjoyable experience then their first visit. We always want to make the guest experience the most enjoyable as most of our reviews will affirm. While we know it is often difficult to say something at the time, we welcome personal feedback from our guests and appreciate this review. Not...

One night stay on trip south...excellent midpoint location that is easily accessible off Rt 95...very comfortable visit in all ways, including an excellent six course dinner with very reasonably priced wines. Owners/hosts could not have been more attentive to making sure our stay be everything we could ask for....a model for the B&B experience.

We spent my birthday at Abingdon Manor on February 15th, 2016 and the experience was beyond wonderful. I have traveled the world in my life and even did a bit of studying the culinary arts in Paris. Most of my adult life has been spent in New York City and I can honestly say that I've rarely had as fine...

We spent last night at Abingdon Manor for Valentine's Day. The Manor was the perfect setting. From the moment we pulled up, we knew we were in for a real treat. We were in the red room. Abingdon Manor provides the only luxury accommodations in the Carolinas or Georgia close to interstate 95. The Inn is listed by AAA as a “Classic Country Inn” and had received the prestigious Four Diamond rating for fifteen consecutive years. The property, on the National Register of Historic Places, was built at the beginning of the 20th century as an opulent private home and, while now an Inn, retains the feel of an opulent private residence. A member of Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North American, Abingdon Manor is ranked among the best Inns in the country. Located in a residential section of the historic district in the charming village of Latta it is just 25 miles north of Florence. The Inn is halfway between New York City and Palm Beach as well as Washington DC and Jacksonville, Florida and it is just 5 miles east of 95. Purchased by Michael and Patty Griffey from Miami, Florida in 1995 to operate as a luxury Inn, extensive renovations, decorating and landscaping have turned this magnificent building into a refined, elegant setting for travelers. The seven guest rooms in the 10,000 square foot building insures privacy, peace and tranquility. The award winning restaurant, The Dining Room at Abingdon Manor, also rated Four Diamonds by AAA, provides fine dining nightly, with full liquor and wine listing.
