We spent the second week of our honeymoon here. We decided to rent the cottage. It was basically my first time at a bed and breakfast. The house was absolutely beautiful. It was built in the 1890's, I believe. Veronique runs the baby. She's a wonderful hostess and was always in a great mood. Not stuffy or rude at all.... More

Good breakfasts, comfy bed, beautiful gardens, friendly host, relaxing porch swing, and an easy walk to town. On Sat. there is a great farmer's market in town. There is a very interesting and delicious Japanese restaurant which we enjoyed with our family that we were visiting. It's proximity to Charleston, SC makes for a convenient place to stay if you... It was raining hard and we were headed North. My husband saw the sign for the Flowertown Bed Breakfast. Veronique was the lovely, gracious innkeeper. Gorgeous old South Carolina house, lovely antiques, beautifully decorated. Very comfortable room, extremely comfortable beds. It was just what we needed. The most beautiful garden I have ever seen. Comfortable porches. Delicious full breakfast. My... More

Great experience at a reasonable price. The rear porch and yard are the nicest we have ever experienced. Lighter fare for breakfast, but that is right up our alley. Great location, quick walk to downtown shops, restaurants.Highly recommended.

Just finished 3 night stay. Over last 8 years we have visited frequently and stayed from 2 nights to 2 weeks at a visit. Veronique and Greg are always great to visit with either for short talks or long conversations over wine and cheese. Accommodations are great. Never a disappointment

I stayed here for two nights while visiting my sister in Summerville. I expected it to be nice, but at $115 per night, my jaw just dropped when I walked in. The entrance is a stately front porch with pillars and chairs and tables for relaxing, dotted with colorful plantings that add warmth and richness. When I opened the large... More

Our group’s four night stay here was a disappointment. Although the house, gardens, and rooms were clean and comfortable the inhospitable hosts put a damper on our stay. Veronique was aloof and not overly helpful but did provide for our basic needs and requests. Her husband Greg was unfriendly and temperamental. The first morning set the tone for the next... More

We stayed in the Blue Room while celebrating my wife's birthday. The house is very nice and very clean. The gardens are lovely. Veronique was a gracious host and provided a very good breakfast. We purchased two of her charitable paintings as mementos of our very pleasant stay.

not your grandmother's b&b, thankfully. also thankfully not too modern or fastidious. smart, effortlessly elegant, expansive, thoughtful, inspired design & experience. art! gardens! birds! a good value, too, since the owners have chosen to invest in the things that matter & skip the cheap techno-baubles. comfy bed, good linens, simple but high-quality, fresh breakfast.
