Deadwood to me was an enchanting little town. I really enjoyed staying in Deadwood and staying at Hickok's Hotel. The room was quite comfortable, quite cozy and quite the place to feel as if you were in the old West. The staff was extra friendly, and for me, being from the South where everyone is friendly, I really appreciated the...

Thank you for your kind words, and for being our guest. Most of our guests like our Main Street location, just a few steps from all of the attractions and action. I will pass along your compliments to our staff regarding their warmth and friendliness. With but 22 rooms, we have the opportunity to get to know many of our...

Enjoyed our 2 nights in the historic Hickok Hotel. Had a queen room on the second floor which was quiet and clean. The rooms are small but the bathroom has been remodeled and was nicely done. Overall a very positive stay.

Thank you for being our guest, and for your nice review. I am glad that your stay was positive! Due to the nature of our historic building, our rooms do vary in size. No franchise standard rooms here! The queen rooms are on the smaller side, but the kings and suites are very spacious at a minimal additional cost. Thank...

We drove from Indiana for a little getaway. The hotel is very old and quaint. It was everything I thought it would be. The single rooms are a bit small but the 2 and 3 room suites are very spacious. The staff seems to double up on jobs so don't think you are seeing double if the manager also fixes...

Thank you for your kind words, and for being our guest. Our historic hotel was built at the turn of the century, and it is old and quaint. I am glad that you noticed that we preserved many of the original Victorian features during the restoration. Our gaming floor has 85 liberally percentaged slot machines, and we do offer complimentary...

We drove from Indiana for a little getaway. We stayed at Hickoks Hotel and Gaming. The hotel is very quaint and nostalgic. As is the entire town of Deadwood. The rooms are old and single rooms are on the small side. But you're not going to be in the room anyway. There are also two and three bedroom suites. They...

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. Our building was constructed in 1896, and restored to it's present hotel use in 2007-10. The rooms do vary in size, but as you mentioned all are clean and comfortable. As a small business of 22 hotel rooms, our staff needs to perform many functions. On the other hand,...

We just spent 3 days here a few weeks ago and stayed in the front king room we have stayed in before. The beds are great with great pillows, everything in the room that you could ask for. The view is fun to watch at the top of the main street hill and it was always great to come back...

Thank you for your kind words, and for being our guest. Our location is enjoyed by many of our guests, we are right on Main Street overlooking the activities below. I am glad that you liked our "pie," as each one of our award winning pizza's are hand made. I will pass along your compliments to our staff, they work...

Hotel was old in age, but updated and pleasant. We had 2 adults and 4 kids so we were able to obtain a 2 bedroom suite for our one nite stay. Such a deal too! The front desk staff were so pleasant and accommodating, even at 11pm! Hotel location was convenient to all Deadwood attractions. Only downfall was parking was...

Thank you for your kind words, and for being our guest. I am glad we were able to accommodate your family in one of our two bedroom suites. They truly are the perfect option for larger parties, and, as you noted, a real value considering the number of guests they can sleep. While our hotel is "old in age," constructed...

We stayed at Hickok's in July this year. The building is old but the rooms have been updated especially the bath rooms. The décor is from the days gone by as it should be in that town. We had a Jr. suite that overlooked the street. The rooms are very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There were current...

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. Our building was constructed in 1898, and renovated to it's present hotel use in the early 2000's. We were able to save many of the ornate Victorian features during the restoration, along with the Victorian decor. The roomy Junior Suites are some of my favorite rooms, overlooking Main Street....

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hickok. Clean, beautiful period rooms with a friendly staff. Fairly priced. Our room seemed to have some activity going on. Not alarming, just... interesting. Don't let that color your decision about staying here, it's a great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at Hickok's during our summer vacation. We stayed for 1 night. The rooms were small (we stayed in a room with 1 king), but the bathrooms were surprisingly big.
