Watch for the stone horse head over the door, it is original to the building. Casino portion is usually empty and you check in at the lobby next door, which is connected. Pretty slim pickings for parking and you need to search for a breakfast place at a reasonable price- the attached former gas bar is ok - but a...

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. The horse head carved from the natural sandstone that overlooks the front door is truly a unique feature of our 1898 building. She has mystified visitors for over a century! The building was originally constructed as a feed store for horses, thus the sculpture was carved. Parking is always...

I love that this hotel is in a historic building and that they kept the authentic details when it was remodeled. I loved the high ceilings and the stain glass transoms with the room numbers. The price was definitely right and the location was excellent, as was the free coffee for visitors. I would say however that it's been several...

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. Our building was constructed in 1898, complete with high ceilings and stained glass transoms. The restoration maintained many of those Victorian features, and I am glad that you enjoyed them. We are among the least expensive lodging alternatives in downtown Deadwood, as we want to make the historic hotel...

Stayed in room 301. This is an adorable corner room with windows on 2 sides! The hotel is walking distance to the entire town. Casino on first floor. There are 2 hotels in one building, one of the second floor and Iron Horse on the 3rd. Check in is at the cashier desk in the casino.

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. The corner rooms...201 and 301, are two of my favorites as well. They display great views to the south and west. Like you, many of our guests like our central downtown location, an easy walk to most activities and attractions. We hope that you visit us again soon!

Love the Iron Horse Inn- clean, great corner room (301) great view of city, walking distance to town. Lots of gambling and close to several attractions. Friendly and accommodating staff. Must visit the midnight star! They let us in to look around while they were closed. Even tho they were closed they served up breakfast and it was great!

The Iron Horse Inn is a step back in history. We had a corner room which had a lot of character. High ceilings, real keys, wooden doors, 4 windows, wood trim, etc. It is located a block off the main street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Deadwood is a fun place and the stay at the Iron Horse...

Thank you for your kind words, and for being our guest. I love the corner rooms myself, offering nice views to the north and west. As you noted, the hotel restoration maintained the cool Victorian features that the 1898 construction offered, including the high ceilings and ornate wooden doors and trim. I will pass along your compliments to our staffs...

This hotel has small rooms but each one is unique and feels like it's right out of the 1800's. All the amenities are there: private baths, cafe. But the best feature is the location - across from a museum, within walking distance of just about everything.

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. Our rooms do vary in size, but as you noted, all are unique, clean and comfortable. Our historic hotel was constructed in 1898, so she does emit the feel of the turn of the last century. Our location is central, a short one block walk to Main Street, and...

Really nice place, in a great central location. We stayed in a beautiful room on the 2nd floor. It had a nice high ceiling and really soft carpet. Beds were very comfy! Bathroom had a bath/shower with amazing water pressure. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Only one minor issue, I'd read reviews on here that said I...

The room was clean, but was kind of small. The king bed was comfortable, however it was lower on one side than the other. The bathroom was tiny. The air conditioner worked VERY well which was nice. The room had an old west rustic feel to it. It reminded us of Miss Kitty's room in Gunsmoke, which was kinda neat....

Thank you for your nice review, and for being our guest. Our building was constructed in 1898 as a feed store for horses, and renovated to it's present hotel use in the late 1990's. We had a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. Very nice! Bed was comfortable and we liked the view out of our large windows. Everything was very clean...only moment of ummm concern was the coffee pot 5 ft from the toilet. The staff and owner go out of their way to be accommodating. The bed was the most comfortable night's sleep I've had in a hotel. We loved the charm ! I would not hesitate to recommend this Inn to anyone. One block away from the main street which was very convenient.
