We stayed here for four nights in late July. While you can't beat the scenery and location the place is poorly managed and dirty. We stayed in Hagen #5 cabin which would have been a great place to stay if they kept it clean. The carpet was so dirty it crunched when you walked on it and you could actually...

We had a campfire every night making smores and popcorn. Pool is conveniently located across from these cabins. The Brulee Indian show was free and fabulous!! Very professional and meaningful. The cowboy meal and show was pricey, entertainment good but food was so-so...fun for kids with shootout and western theme. Horseback trail riding is at the ranch, very well organized....

The cabins are not as clean under the new management, sheets are not changed when new people come . The price is very high $350 a night is too much to pay for a cabin in South 'Dakota could have a suite for that price, and the breakfast is not good for the price should be included for the high...

We stayed at a cabin and found it to be charming and restful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We rented an ATV and the weather was fantastic for a day in the hills on the back roads. We went horseback riding and had a time! The wranglers were very patient with all skill levels and the...

My husband and I went on their trail ride. My husband had never been horse back riding and we thought this would be the best way for him to give it a try. We went on the early ride, 8:30 a.m. And the morning was perfect. The wranglers were very helpful, pleasant and made the ride fun. It lasted about...

We stayed in a camper cabin for a family event. I asked if we could put up a tent for the kids and was told absolutely not it would be disturbing to other campers. When we woke up there were three tents set up. They state they have a $6 breakfast with a list of available items, in reality it...

I recently stayed at High Country Guest Ranch for 5 nights with my daughter and grandson. We had a great time. The people were so nice and Myron the maintenance man was more than helpful when we had a few problems. Wonderful owners who introduced themselves to us and made us comfortable during our stay. My grandson loved the horses...

We took a small cabin with a kitchen but no stove/oven for four days and it was perfect. Plenty of room - close to the pool - the people were great. The family loved if. For the cost, I told me wife we should always book there, but she mentioned our other stays were longer and we might need more...

This place was selected by family members other than me for this year's extended family reunion. It's a significant distance from town (Hill City), about 5 miles on twisty roads. No restaurants or anything nearby. We stayed in a trailer, the "Wildwood". Price was superficially attractive, $99 a nite, but you get what you pay for. We stayed in a...

We rented a side-by-side ATV for the whole day yesterday. There were lots of good trails available near the business. They gave us helmets as well as a map and a Garmin to assist us because we were not familiar with the area. Good activity for the money!
