We had a large room, with 2 beds and a hide a bed so plenty of room for our family. The room was very nice, large, clean and comfortable. The bar downstairs has inexpensive wine and beer, and the breakfast, included with the room, was amazing.

Good morning Angela, Thank you for your comments. Our family size rooms are indeed amazing! We would love to see you back at the Blackstone Lodge again. Be sure to book direct through our front desk and ask about the "repeat guest" benefits.

I arrived with 44 passengers on a Diamond Tour trip Monday, October 3, 2016. All our rooms were ready and we were greeted by friendly staff. We stayed for 4 nights and had clean rooms, excellent breakfasts, and were treated warmly. Upon our departure, the manager, Chris, boarded our bus and thanked us for staying, as well as giving us...

Thanks Diane! We appreciate hearing from you. I think that our housekeeping staff & breakfast ladies are just the best ever! We really have fun baking the cookies and giving them to the Motor Coach groups on departure. Happy that your group enjoyed them.

This hotel is under new ownership and have undergone some major renovations. The lobby is beautiful, and our room was clean and spacious. The price was amazing and included breakfast--we will definitely stay here again!

Comfy beds, nice toiletries, very clean hotel. AC didn't work, so we had to switch rooms and ended up giving up our king bed, so that was disappointing. You can tell that some upgrades have been made as far as linens etc; their next upgrade needs to be the ancient a 'a. Good breakfast. Didn't try the restaurant but the...

Hi Coby, Sorry to hear about your air conditioning & the room switch. Rest assured, the air conditioner upgrade is on our list of capital improvements! Next time you really should try the hot tubs! Because they are on an elevated deck you really don't see the parking lot when you are enjoying the tub. But for safety issues we...

I stayed there while part of a bus tour. The rooms were quiet and pleasant. The breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast room could not accommodate all the guests. I found out that the overflow could eat in the lounge, and that is where I went to avoid the crowd. The only other drawback was lack of phone reception within...

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, the all cement building can hinder cell phone reception, especially if guests use a carrier that does not have many towers in our area. Breakfast does get crazy busy with the motor coach groups!

This was a surprisingly inexpensive stay in early May, when the low season must be in place in Lead and the surrounding areas. The front desk staff was pretty nice, as they left the breakfast out for me. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I have to admit, though, it was odd to be the only person staying at the...

Staff is welcoming and efficient. Hotel recently refurbished, very clean, white bedding, clean floors, sparkling bathroom. Beds & pillows luxurious & comfortable. Has double windows which eliminate outside noise from street. Breakfast was all you could want - eggs, biscuits/gravy, sausage, waffles, fruit, etc.

We stayed for three nights in July 2016 for a family reunion. They offered us discounted rates and had everything we needed. They do set out free breakfast food. It is the usual hotel breakfast fare; biscuits and gravy, fruit juice, yogurt, cereal, canned fruit salad, and some other stuff. They do also have laundry machines available for guests, and...

I appreciate your comments! FYI - since your stay, we have done quite a bit of updating on the guest wi-fi system. Hopefully we have all of those connection issues worked out now.

We stayed for five nights while visiting the black hills. Our stay was very relaxing. Updated room with comfortable beds. The staff was polite and accommodating. The location was great, deadwood is five minutes away and spearfish is about twenty. Will definitely be back.

Needed a place to stay while visiting Mt Rushmore. Had a bit of difficulty finding place. Looks better in photo. Overall place was clean and staff friendly. Disappointed in breakfast as there was not much to choose from and waffle batter was awful. The doughnuts were good. Wish they would leave them out with coffee for a bit after breakfast...

At the Blackstone Lodge & Suites we strive to accommodate our guests with a great breakfast experience. It sounds like you may have been at the tail end of the breakfast times. Also, our Hot Tubs are cleaned & shocked weekly, but sometimes due to heavy usage they may need cleaned mid week. Our maint dept works hard to keep...
