Ila makes you feel like you've lived in her home forever. This is 5 Star warmth. This is not a fancy place. And, over the years we've stayed in elegant, luxurious places. But Ila's home is . . . well, it's a home. Mitchell South Dakota is to exactly a destination point. It's where you go to and from. But...

The second B stands for breakfast and WOW is Ila a great cook! Ask for her made from scratch Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries. The first B is for Bed. Nice spacious clean room. Great value. Close to Corn Palace. Recommend for solo, couples or adult group travel. Wonderful hosts with interesting life. Highly recommended!

Paying a short visit to Mitchell, I wanted to stay in a Bed & Breakfast in order to get a feel of the city. It is the first Bed & Breakfast that I have stayed in since 1985 and I can say that it is beyond all of my expectations. Ila Rumbolz is the most welcoming host and she made...

Great Bed & Breakfast in Central Mitchell. Close to everything and in a quite location. The owner was very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and filling. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable and more inportant clean. I would stay here again the next time I visted Mitchell.

Mitchell was an overnight stop on our drive west to see, of course, the Corn Palace. Flavia’s is a large older home in a nice quiet residential neighborhood walking distance to shops, movie theater and the Corn Palace (all about 5 blocks or less). All rooms are up one flight of stairs that are a bit narrow & steep, typical...

We spent a lovely evening at Flavia's Place and got a little Christmas in June in the Winter Room. The owner was very accommodating and helpful during our stay and the breakfast was phenomenal! Very highly recommended overall. Nice for a couple, a family or a group of friends traveling through.

I stayed here once and will definitely stay here again. The host is wonderful, friendly and welcoming. The food was healthy, fresh and delicious and the menu varied daily. She was able to point me in the direction of places I would enjoy seeing and walking routes that I liked. Her sense of humor and well traveled appreciation of people...

We stayed here twice, on our way out to the Black Hills and again on the return trip. The hostess is great, really friendly, is well traveled and well read and can provide lots of information about the area. Wonderful breakfast and she varies the menu on a daily basis. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to...

Friendly host. Good breakfast. I did feel that the building itself was more "run-of-the-mill old house" rather than the mansion that B & B's tend to be. Appreciate more spaciousness since I am 6 foot 3. I grew up in an old farmhouse and considered this comparable(although this is in the city). Replace the front storm door...it's extremely worn. The...

We stayed at Flavia's during our roadtrip to Seattle and California. Lelia (the host) is an insightful, friendly and warm host. I've read the good reviews prior to contacting her for reservations and was not disappointed. She really knows how to make you feel at home as well as how to find something in common with everyone she meets. We...
