We have stayed before and absolutely love the location. It is a great place to finish out a full day of activities. Very clean and comfortable. The weather bounced from cold to hot to cold and the cabin kept right up with the changes. We will be back to enjoy again. The only thing missing was we had to get... More

These cabins are in a great location for seeing all the sights in the Rapid City area. It is right off Highway 16 and easy to get in and out of. The cabin we stayed in was small but I knew it would be when I made the reservation. It was cozy for four of us but it had all... More

We stayed two nights here while visiting the Mt. Rushmore areas. We stayed in cabin #14. It was very clean and nicely furnished. The decor had a nice rustic touch. The owners had the heat turned on when we arrived as temps were in the 40s. Although our cabin was located somewhat close to the road, we really were not... More

We stayed at hillside cabin twice this summer, both times we have a great time. New up dated cabins, you can cook in them or grill out, at cabin. If you are planing a trip to black hills SD give them a call.

September 2014: I've stayed annually for a few years now and was so sad to see the "improvements" made recently. The units and customer service do not meet the price payed. The cabins now have cheaper "more rustic" doors that do not close unless locked/latched shut...which makes it difficult when you are sharing a room with someone and literally have... More

Maam, honestly after a few days of trying to figure out why someone would web attack our business via this site, Trip Advisor, and who knows how many others, we felt that at least here we should respond. Same old rustic doors, not new, not cheaper, but nothing simpler than "slide knob to latch". I may post a sign to... More

Spent 5 nights here over the summer with my family of 6. Price, location and cabin were excellent. Only a few minutes from Keystone & Rushmore. Would recommend if you are looking for a decent place as a launch pad for your daily trips. Had the opportunity to tour the largest cabin and it was incredible.

My wife and kids and I happened along these awesome cabins in a hill while exploring south dakota. They were perfect for us since they are very near to almost all the attractions we wanted to see.they have trails and rock formations right on site witch was great since my daughter's love to explore and climb. The staff was excellent... More

My friends and I found this place while walking across the country on The Great American Walkabout. We had just visited Mount Rushmore and were headed into Rapid City, and this was the perfect place to stop. We REALLY loved it! The cabins were cozy and comfortable, and each had full amenities. The Black Hills are an incredible place, full... More

I first visited this property when I was 2 years old and this year marks my 57th year of consistent stays (some years up to 3 stops, and only missed going to the Black Hills 2 years during this time). I've lived in Colorado and now Washington State over the past forty years-but always make at least one annual trip... More

We enjoyed having a cabin to ourselves rather than a typical hotel. It allowed our group of 6 (age 12-70) to stay in the same place on our family vacation. It was nice being able to cook breakfast while everyone showered and got ready for the day. The hotel is right off the highway (and easy to miss the turn... More
