Was here for a week during a Family Reunion and it couldn't have gone better. I have to eat 'Gluten-Free' so I had brought along some food for Breakfast and figured I'd need to eat that for breakfast or go into town, but the hosts cooked me up some wonderful foods, including Waffle's, Eggs & Sausage, and even had Gluten-Free...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Black Forest Inn. As soon as we arrived Bob and Betty graciously welcomed us to their beautiful Inn. Bob gave us wonderful advice and tips on our trip for the following day as we were visiting several sites around the area. The breakfast was AMAZING! We had fresh fruit, the most incredible...

After driving all night and most of the day, we were welcomed by Betty and Bob to their beautiful B&B. Located in the Black Hills, it was close to all the sights we wanted to see. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. If we visit this area again, this is where we would stay, and...

Bob and Betty Barkley are back as innkeepers of the Black Forest Inn and they made our recent stay (April 2014) an immense pleasure. They themselves were friendly, attentive, and indispensable in making our South Dakota vacation a memorable one. They were very helpful to our daily plans and are a wealth of information about the area. The BFI itself...

The owners Bob and Betty are so welcoming. The atmosphere is so relaxing and rejuvenating. My husband and I have been to several Bed and Breakfasts and this is by far our favorite place to stay in the Black Hills. The food is wonderful and I am looking forward to visiting the bistro this summer.

Cindy was very welcoming, the room was very home-like and had every facility I needed, and plenty of space. The hosts catered to my 'kiwi' request for English Breakfast Tea and real milk to go with it (this didn't happen in every place I stayed). I didn't eat there because I had family living a two minute walk away but...

This was the worst experience I have ever had and would warn anyone to stay far away. Overall the biggest problem was that the owner Cindy was so rude. We were there for a wedding and she made the bride cry during the dinner. Literally, the bride had to get up and leave because she was so upset by everything...

We found the information for this B&B by just looking on Google for a place to stay. It is fairly close to attractions in the area, to include Mt. Rushmore. It feels like a mix of a hotel and B&B. It is cozy and the owner was welcoming when we arrived. She showed us around when we came in. The...
