We stayed here while in Lucan for a family event. The rooms were warm clean & comfortable with tea making facilities & en suite bathroom. The hosts were very friendly & welcoming, & the food was very appetising with a good selection, would recommend.

Doing an overnight in Dublin for a graduation and needing a base , west /south west of city, the Moat ticks all the boxes . With much of Dublin gone off the scale again on rates , €90 euro for a double is acceptable particularly as it is 5mins off an on the M4 . The level of décor is...

I really liked this B&B i'm comming there for 8 years. Unfortunate that its getting more expensive every year. 110 for double room is too much in my opinion. So i'm afraid i can't stay here anymore. The hosts are very nice and the food is good. I really like Lucan village as i lived really close to it so...

I stayed here last Saturday. I was attending a wedding locally and found this clean comfortable freshly decorated B & B with 10 [I think] en-suite rooms. Breakfast was a full Irish and a well stocked buffet.Friendly pleasant owners. Good value. What more do you expect.

We were in Dublin to attend a wedding at a nearby castle and needed a close enough location to use a taxi, but outside the city. Moat Lodge and Lucan were a perfect fit. A lovely village to walk around in the day before the wedding, and a relaxing accommodation for our short stay. We found the owners absolutely delightful...

This was not as friendly as other B&B's we stayed in during our stay in Ireland. We were greeted (on a Sunday) and shown to our rooms. Told if we needed anything we could call on the phone. We inquired about a bus into Dublin and were told we could ask about that in the morning. The rooms were clean...

This a small hotel in Lucan within walking distance of the town centre and many good restaurants. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming when you arrive. The room we had was a double with a really good bed, lovely hot shower and spare electrical points to plug in accessories such as lap tops etc. You also get a...

We stayed at the Moat Lodge for 3 nights 18th - 20th September. It is a lovely place, clean and tidy. Great choice for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Owners and staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. We will most certainly go back. P.Ruscoe Staffordshire

Although they set times for arrival, they were very accommodating for our late arrival. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Good strong shower. The owner and cleaners are very efficient. We went down for breakfast on one occasion to find room had been tidied when we went back to the room. Breakfast and choices are good. The fried breakfast...

We arrived after a reasonable drive and were warmly greeted by friendly staff. The room was very small, but we were grateful there were tea and coffee facilities in the room. There main difficulties were that there was very little room to put things, and it was very expensive for what it was. The host put out some breakfast things...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A warm welcome to Moat Lodge, a 17th century property in a mature sylvan setting, yet only a stone's throw from Lucan Village. What may not be obvious from an external appraisal is the excellent degree of space provided inside, with all bedrooms complete with en-suites. Tranquility reigns with an award-winning garden accessed from the guest sitting room and is a delight to behold. ... more   less
