We do not often give poor reviews but feel compelled to do so here. This place has not been maintained and seems to be riding on past glory. The rooms are depressingly worn. The meals were fine but having to retire to such a depressing room ruined the experience. It was very disappointing.

Wonderful food, warm and welcoming staff and blissful surroundings. A lovely venue for a relaxing getaway. Lots of lovely nooks and crannies to enjoy a drink, read a book or just close your eyes and relax. We stayed for a weekend and all wished it could be for longer. Will definitely go back.

I'm not used to staying in a country hotel, and whilst this hotel is a bit of a shock to the system due to the old world furnishings, it completely wins you over with its charm. Whilst some comments here say it's in need of a refurb; if it had this I think it would loose what makes it charming,...

It's in a beautiful area and a lovely house though in need of upgrade. We had a very ordinary lunch there and it was very cold throughout the house. I had heard a lot about cashel house so it didn't live up to my expectations at all.

We booked one night in Cashel House after Christmas as they told us our dog would be welcome. She was!! A lovely, relaxing evening in the bar, followed by a great night's sleep in a beautiful bedroom, and a breakfast to die for the following morning. Good value, wonderful service and very comfortable. We'll be back.

Country house hotel in Connemara, family run with a lovely personal feel, plenty of little sitting areas to relax and read your book, good food and service. Lots of repeat guests returning with their dogs who are welcome. Rooms are comfortable but bathrooms slightly dated.

Stayed here 28th Dec 2016 for 1 night. The house and gardens are lovely but the house does need a little refresh (mainly in the bar area). That said the staff were so friendly and helpful that it completely made up for ant concerns with decor. The room we had was a 2nd floor Garden Suite (room 47) and it...

Cashel House is like stepping back in time. Gracious and elegant, without being stuffy. Wonderful attentive staff, but not pretentious. My garden suite was lovely with an amazing view of the bay. Tea brought to my room and turn down service with hot water bottles in my bed were touches of service not repeated during the remainder of my trip...

Situated in a beautiful garden with views of the sea this is a lovely country house hotel We had a garden suite for 2 nights. Very comfortable, nicely furnished. The turn down service did happen as promised. The bar has very comfortable furniture but it is a bit gloomy and the bar itself is more like a ticket office. Very good...

Maintains an impressive standard of service ,whether promptly responding to requests for afternoon tea or suggesting day trips. All of this in a hotel in the country that goes out of its way to be a home for a few days through the welcoming unobtrusive nature of staff The gardens substantially woodland are interesting in autumn due to variety of...
