Island View B&B is a lovely place in Roundstone, County Galway. Just across the street from the harbor, the views from upstairs windows are gorgeous and the location in town makes it easy to walk to pubs/restaurants/shopping. Rooms are well sized, very comfortable beds, decorated in a clean contemporary style. Bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water. When we...

arrived at our evening destination of Roundstone just as a misty rain started to move in -- Maurice made us very welcome and we settled in, bundled up and took a quick walk around town. Even in the gray the views were nice -- stopped in at one of 2 pubs and had a couple pints accompanied by a peat...

We stopped in for one night and stayed four because we liked it so much. This is a lovely B&B with friendly owners and reasonable rates. The scones were outstanding, the room was spotless and inviting, and the views are beautiful. Maurice cooks and serves the most delicious breakfasts, and he and Aisling did all they could to make sure...

This is a wonderful place to stay. Our triple room was large enough, unlike others we have stayed in, Maurice and Aisling were friendly and helpful, the scones were sublime and the breakfast delicious. The view even in misty showers was lovely, all set in a really beautiful village by the sea. Highly recommended, especially as the rates were so...

Marvellous b+b with Maurice and Aisling. The best scones in the world on arrival with welcome cuppa. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was top notch. Directed us to the best place to eat. Even worked out a route for us for our onward journey. We will be back and have already recommended you to fellow travellers on Achill.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B. Maurice was most welcoming with fresh scones, water and tea. It was so nice to enter the main area and find the fireplace roaring, as the rain was pouring on the outside. The room was large and clean. Beds were comfortable. The en-suite bathroom fine. Maurice recommended a restaurant for dinner...

Maurice was simply an extraordinary host. Very friendly, he carried your bags, served your tea, made your breakfast and all the while provided a running dialogue about everything local. His place overlooks the harbor and has excellent views of the surrounding mountains. If you plan to visit coastal Ireland, make Roundstone and the Island View one of your stops.

I booked this B&B for my parents and they were delighted with the stay. Great location close to bars, restuarant etc. Amazing views but most of all the fantastic welcome received. They were given options as to which room they would prefer and then provided with tea and scones. They really enjoyed their stay.
