Stayed one night in September and had a great experience. It's a family run hotel and has the personal touch. The highlight was the restaurant. The food and service was first class. I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting Connemara.

We stayed on a wet and windy Sunday night! We were fortunate enough to have the suite which gave us fantastic views to have a cup of tea the next morning and enjoy the sleepy village come to life. My usual +/- review. + Views - I'll say it again, wow Really comfy bed and space in the suite Restaurant...

A delightful hotel in the lovely little village of Roundstone. An excellent base for discovering the wild beauty of Connemara, We had a lovely room (No8) with a novel porthole to give a view of the harbour. However the most important thing about this hotel is the restaurant. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, The manager,Peadar, is a constant...

We stayed here as a couple towards the end of the holiday season. The village was very quiet, but the hotel occupancy rate seemed to suggest that this is a popular hotel. Our fellow guests hailed from Ireland, the UK, France, the US and Australia. The hotel is an old building, so don't expect the most modern of comforts. That...

Quaint little hotel nestled in a scenic wonder. Friendly little village, not many restaurants. Hotel dinner was very good, mid-range in price. Family owned and operated, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!

This place is so so nice. The staff are friendly and obliging and the food is delicious, well presented and like out of 'Masterchef'. A special thank you to Kara and Paedar who made our stay extra special. We had a second floor room and the view was breathtaking. Roundstone is a lovely village anyway but Eldon's really made the...

This hotel is small and personally run. There is nothing flash or sophisticated about it but the genuine charm and service and the value for money make it a great stay in this magical town. The full Irish breakfast is a quality one too.

Last week my wife and I spent two days in this lovely family-owned hotel. We located the hotel on the internet and didn't really know what to expect, but I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, our room, though a little basic, was spotless and the bed was very comfortable....

We visited this restaurant not once but twice last weekend as the food was such excellent value. Portions were really generous and no one went away hungry. Brother-in-law got the bacon dinner special for €9.95 and it was huge!! Fish n chips had big portion of fresh fish that melted in your mouth. Wait staff & bartenders were really friendly...

Wonderful village. Eldon's Hotel proved to be an excellent place to stay. Very genuinely friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Comfortable room with view to mountain. Excellent breakfast, and evening meal was superb. We couldn't fault this hotel and we loved the prolific art work! We shall definitely return. A minor point - wifi not so good in bedrooms.
