I stayed here a few months ago and having never heard of it before I was pleasantly surprised! It's in a great location with an amazing restaurant, what's not to like. Would def recommend. The staff were lovely too.

There's a lot more about a great hotel than the number of stars it boasts or whether it has a swimming pool, roof garden or tennis court. There is that certain "something" that makes your stay unfogettable and has you planning your next stay as soon as you arrive back home. The Maol Reidh is one of those very special... More

Staff are really friendly and pleasant. Large room with a comfortable bed. Possibly needs a bit of TLC but for the money great value and would definitely go back again. Didn't eat at restaurant but it looked good so will try this next time.

I booked this hotel for just one night as the lovely B&B I wanted was not available. Staff was lovely, room and bathroom were ok. Did not try any of the hotel amenities. The hotel is located centrally in the village so the location is handy. Wifi was very slow. Nothing particularly wrong but just did not think it was... More

Maol Reidh was a nice hotel in a very deserted city called Tullycross. The service was ok, but they could have been more helpful. If you are planning to go to Connemara, the Maol Reidh is a prefect find. Their food is very nice and the rooms are ok. For wifi you have to go downstairs to the lobby. When... More

We booked this at the last minute not knowing what we'd get. What we experienced was a friendly welcome, nice comfortable room, a restaurant that was better than most with really good food and great service. On top of this was the location. Only a short drive to Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park. We'll be back if in the... More

Spent one night here with my partner while traveling around Connemara for a few days. We arrived around 2:30 (half an hour after check in time) to be told that the room wasn't ready yet. Not a huge deal but a little bit inconvenient. About half an hour later our room was ready. It was clean and fresh but a... More

Beautiful food and fabulous service at this hotel. Home baked flavoured bread is a must try, the chef was very accommodating to my elderly grandmother who struggles to eat. Great atmosphere, request a table in the orangery is my recommendation

Having spent many holidays in the Renvyle area we decided to give the Maol Reidh a try and we're so glad we did. Everything about the place suited us, food was excellent, room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the price was very reasonable.

“The rooms on the front were a little noisy in the wind....we were told by others the back rooms were very quiet but personally the view of Connemara mountains and thatched cottages is preferable than restricted views at back! Romms 101 and 102 are closest to life.....but this was not a noise issue!”
