Stayed here on the Kerry Way as unfortunately wasn't aware of other B&Bs nearby. Got a very poor welcome on arrival and was told there would be no dinner available (as promised when booking) because it was very quiet. Instead I was directed to the shop for spaghetti or beans. In the end I settled for a toasted sandwich -...

Four of us stayed here for three nights in two twin rooms on a walking trip to Macgillicuddys reeks. The ensuite rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful for the start of an active day. The people that ran the inn were helpful and provided good local information to help us explore the area. The pub...

Website said dorm rooms were 14-19 euro. When I arrived I was charged 25. What did my extra tenner go to? Unfriendly welcome, no wifi, no toilet, no drinking water, no heat, cold shower. I was broke doing the Kerry Way but seriously, treat yo'self and DO NOT stay here.

This place is a one in all: campsite, hostel, b&b, pub, shop and post office. The rooms and bathroom are very sober, but clean. Good beds, no noise and I slept wonderfully. Traditional Irish breakfast was included. Nice pub. Price might be a bit high as it could use some refurbishing, but it was worth it after a hard day...

My friend and I stayed here weary after a day's walk and hoping for some country hospitality. The woman who runs it probably has a good heart underneath it all but we didn't get to see it. She turned her back on us when we asked if we could pay wwith card (they only accept cash) and ignored us until...

The first point this is NOT a B&B as you might normally think of it, it is a pub for heavy drinking locals that happens to have bunkhouse accommodation with cooking facilities available, and also private rooms that are en suite. We arrived late in the rain and the only way in to the accommodation was through the bar with...

I was hesitant to stay here after reading the other reviews but I'm happy to say that it turned out to be perfectly suitable accommodation with some great extras. Firstly I think that some peoples expectations were a bit off, it's more like a hostel but with a B&B breakfast. It also has a pub, shop and post office attached....

The lady who runs it charges 25 euro per person (standard price in region is 20 Euro for modern single occupancy twin room or 15 Euro for a dorm). She has 10 bed dorms and if there are only 10 people staying in the entire hostel, she will put them all into the one room. Our room had dirty sheets,...

It must have changed hands since 2012. It was cold, unwelcoming, no drying facilities, no evening meal, just offered toasted sandwiches, a bowl of muesli and small juice for breakfast. The hair dryer was dangerous, loose wire. Would not serve breakfast until 8.30am

The worst experience I made in Ireland so far, absolutely not what you expect when you book a B&B. It was advertised in our tour guide, but we didn't see any of what was written there. The rooms were terrible, not clean, not warm ( the radiators didn't work ), the breakfast was not good... Most of the employees were...

“They are all dirty with old metal sagging metal bunks. Do yourself a favor and stay in a B'nB. If you are are traveling as a pair, a private room in a B &B will be cheaper anyway. If you are traveling alone and can't afford the B&B option, then maybe plan your walk (providing you are doing the Kerry Way) so that you end up in Glenbeigh that evening instead. The Sleepy Camel is nice and Glenbeigh has a well stocked Centra.”
