We came here for dinner one night in December without knowing what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Dinner was very reasonably priced with two wonderful menus and a wide variety of food to pick from. Service by the waitress was excellent and we were welcomed by the very friendly owner who made us feel at home. The food...

A group of us stayed here while on a walk along the Kerry Way. Just one night, but we had a great experience. The hotel has been renovated by the current owners, but retains an old-world charm. The staff and managers are very friendly. We had a wonderful diner after a relaxing "tea" (and something stronger!) in the lounge, which...

Sitting under Carrauntoohill, the highest peak in Ireland, this hotel and restaurant is the tops. Friendly and efficient service, extensive views, central for walking and fishing and Irish stew. There is plenty of space to sit and eat inside and out and when we were there mid September there were few others, it is worth booking weekends and high season.

Glencar seems a really great place...

Went to The Glencar House Hotel, it's back in business, lovely new look,, which retains all the old glamour and character. The grounds remain as beautiful as ever, Lunch was lovely. Rooms were pricey,, but I think that might change.

We are locals and decided to eat tonight in the Glencar house resort and I Have to say we had a beautiful meal. We were in time for the early bird and it is great value at 25euro each for 3 courses. Each course has about 4 options and the food is beautifully presented. I wish I had taken some...

So even though it Memories: the extraordinary food, the friendliness, the craic in...

My friend and I arrived at Glencar House in the early evening after walking on the Kerry Way. We were hiking the Kerry Way to celebrate turning 50! We had just walked 15 miles from Black Valley. We were both tired and hungry. We had a great room and dinner. After dinner, my friend and I then moved to the...
