We had a wonderful stay at Whitethorn Lodge. Anne & Martin were the consummate hosts--warm, accommodating. When we rang to say we would be delayed, they couldn't have been nicer about it. Good value for money, clean, nice breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

It's difficult to imagine a more homely welcome than you will receive at Whitethorn Lodge. It's a bit like going to stay with your mother! From the tea & biscuits to the All-Stations Satellite TV in the lounge (do you really expect to be able to watch Arsenal live from Ireland?) to the enormous bedrooms, all with 'disabled' access (throughout...

Whitehorn Lodge is probably the best B & B in which we've ever stayed. Anne is an extraordinary hostess--warm, welcoming, informative, knowledgeable about places to see and things to do, and extremely accommodating. The design of the B & B is well thought out, spacious, well equipped, very clean and comfortable, and able to accommodate visitors with mobility issues. There...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there in mid-August! Rooms are lovely and spacious, bed is very comfortable. Great breakfast & atmosphere as the host, Anne, makes you feel at home at once. She has indeed a lovely way of looking after her guests which makes you feel very special. I will come back.

My sisters and I were in Ballina for a family wedding and we couldn't have been more comfortable or felt more at home than we did at Whitethorn Lodge, or "Anne's House" as we came to call it. The place was clean, bright, and spacious, the beds were really comfortable, and wi-fi was reliable. Each day started with a delicious...

My second stay at Whitethornlodge and it was a feeling like coming home. Anne is a marvellous host... she phoned for the reservation of a boat trip at Lough Dergh, bought salmon for a breakfast Special, informed us about a traditionial Irish Music session in a pub... We enjoyed our stay again very much.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay. Quiet and calming place. Comfortable room and nice location. Had a swim in the heated outdoor pool in Ballina. A great discovery. This was followed by a great meal in Tuscany restaurant and a walk across the fine old bridge to Killaloe village with its. Charming winding Main Street.

I had to book a B&B on short notice for a wedding, Ann couldn't have been more accommodating from the very beginning. The facilities and the breakfast menu are truly top quality, I highly recommend this B&B to anyone who's staying in the area (it's a short distance to the town centre also!) I was sad to leave, I will hopefully...
