John Lawlor will take good care of you. We stayed in his sister's room on the top floor. Great beds, nice shower. Slept well. John gave us excellent suggestions for dinner and a pub for later. Breakfast was super. Other guests were very nice. Very pleasant stay, superb host, lovely antiques. Would gladly book again.

I have been to Tyne twice before and chose to come back again chiefly because of the very warm welcome from John the proprietor and the great location. It is true to say that the property is need of some modernisation but bare in mind this is a period property and should not be spoiled to turn it into a...

A group of 7 of us stayed here recently for a wedding in Rathsallagh. The building is rather old as is the decor inside. All three rooms were freezing cold on arrival. We asked for the heat to be turned on and it helped somewhat. All the bedding was extremely damp and felt like it hadn't been slept in in...

We stayed in Tynte house as we were attending a wedding in Rathsallagh house. This b&b is perfect! We were greeted by a very friendly girl and shown to our spacious and immaculately clean room. John the owner then offered to give us a lift down to Rathsallagh, which he did the following day also. We spent two nights in...

My daughter and I wanted to venture out on our own from our families farm in Galway and we stayed here. I don't regret it a bit. John and his family are great. They are very friendly. Top of that They gave me right directions, gave me ideas on where to go and what to do for the rest of...

A party of us recently stayed in Tynte House following a local wedding. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Its description of being "decorated to the highest standards" is completely untrue. It may have been in the 90's but his property has been neglected both in decor and cleanliness. In one room which we occupied the carpet was...

Stayed here with my wife while attending a wedding in Rathsallagh in July. We were able to check in before the wedding and get changed which was a bonus. Room was big with an ensuite bathroom and two double beds. Has a lot of old school charm. Went for breakfast the next morning and were greeted by the owners daughter...

We stayed here for one night (thankfully only one night) while attending a wedding in Rathsallagh House. There were 8 of us in our party and we had booked 4 rooms. There were also at least another 6 to 8 rooms booked by other wedding guests. So the guest house was fairly well occupied for that night with most of...

We stayed in Tynte House for a wedding in Rathsallagh recently. Although the owners were very welcoming and accommodating, I cannot recommend anyone to stay here. The house is in serious need of tlc, paint etc. The house is very old, damp and musty and the room we stayed on was the wrong side of quaint. At breakfast the table...

Stayed here while at a wedding in the near by Hotel Rathsallagh House. On arrival we were greeted by John who was very helpful. Tynte House was very old fashioned but was made feel welcomed by John he was a gentleman very likable person and social able. Easy to locate. Interior old-fashioned and in need of a face lift inside...
