Brought a friend here for a treat lunch. Phoned ahead, had to wait while they checked to see if there was a table available. And that is the start of our story. We arrived at 13.00 for a 13.30 lunch. On arrival, a very impressive greeting by the Concierge in full uniform. End of good impression. Nobody in the Dining...

From the moment we arrived the courtesy of the staff set the tone for our visit. All of the staff were welcoming, polite and unobtrusive . The quality of the staff was more than matched by the excellence of the furnishings, the room size and the excellent food served in the exquisite dining room. This is one of the best...

Visited for a close friend's wedding and had a lovely stay- it is a fantastic wedding venue with beautiful grounds. Enjoyed the food. atmosphere and in particular the friendliness of the staff (other than those on reception) who were extremely welcoming and attentive. Travelled with 2 older children who did not find the set menu style to their taste (starters...

Lovely grounds and room. We came back late one evening and the dining room had stopped serving. The owner was in the bar and he checked with the kitchen and they made something up for us. Would have enjoyed a few more days there. Will come back again.

Really nice hotel. We had a lovely time and there was a real relaxing atmosphere. The staff were nice and helpful and the meal we had was amazing. The only downside was the lack of wifi but other than that it was great, would definitely go back again.

Stayed here recently for a wedding. Stunning place! Loved the gardens and the house. However, the service was very poor as follows: - In bar area, after food for a larger group, I had to start clearing away the tables twice due to cluter - the bar man watched as I did this; - Asked for an iron on 4...

This was my second visit to Tinakilly Country House. The first time I visited I was pretty sure it was love, so had I had to have a second visit to be extra sure. My first visit I had coffee with a friend at Christmas 2014, it was cozy welcoming and relaxed with tons of old world charm. My second...

Tinakilly - please train or retrain your wait staff. They are pleasant but clueless! Child given a massive glass of water & ice, cutlery & various things forgotten, we were left for half an hour with our dishes in front of us trying to get the attention of the staff. I got a lipsticky glass. One waitress was standing behind...

Stayed 1 night on a beautiful sunny day in Wicklow with my fiancée on holiday. The drive up the tree-lined avenue should get your hopes up but what you see at the end is utterly gorgeous. An Agatha Christie novel or Downton Abbey setting is what came to mind. Our room was wonderful, however we didn't stipulate wanting a bath...

Huge room, quiet except for plumbing and vent system but we enjoyed ourselves greatly and would definitely come again. It's an old country manor so we're not looking for state of the art systems. Very nice dining room, lovely staff there and elsewhere.
