Olde World guest house in a great location overlooking St Aubin Bay A bit old fashioned but I prefer to a business hotel when in a quaint location. Rooms are big and comfortable - no lifts so you have to lug your luggage up stairs but Andrew the host helped me. Breakfast is included and comprises continental choices and a...

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. Whilst the rooms and decor are a little tired the welcome received from Andrew the new manager was fabulous. He had only taken over this year and informed us that a refurb will take place over the winter months. The breakfast was excellent with 3 types of juice, fruit, cereals, yoghurt,...

What a wonderful fortnight spent at St. Magloire. Wonderful breakfasts served by the owner Andrew. Beds and facilities, clean and carefully maintained by efficient pleasant staff. Nothing too much trouble. Magnificent views from the terrace overlooking St Aubins bay.

Very charming and characterful and in a great, elevated position above the bay. Rooms comfortable, although quite basic. Beds comfortable, but could have done with a thinner duvet - a little bit on the thick side for July! Proprietor really friendly and attentive. We had a balcony directly outside our room, however as the balcony was available to other guests,...

One star may be a bit harsh looking at other reviewers who obviously had a better experience than I did, but would I go there again? No. And would I recommend it? No. It didn't start well with the ?owner being so obviously irritated that I arrived later than anticipated - 22:00 v 21:30 (& by the way, there is...

I am truly sorry if I appeared irritated, but as I am quite sure you know, your arrival time was given as between 2 and 3 pm. I tried to call you at 5.30pm, because I had to collect some everyday items for the guesthouse and certainly didn't want you to arrive without being properly met and to give you...
