Visited this hotel for B&B in August 2016. My wife expected Agatha Christie to appear at any moment?! Basic accomodation with some nice touches. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Owner, how can I put this diplomatically, was an older gent than me (I am a pensioner too but I am retired) that is not about to update his hotel....

We have just returned from our 28th visit to this hotel. We would never consider staying anywhere else on the island. The staff and the owner affectionately known as Mr P. are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and such good value. The visit is like stepping back in time and the surroundings are...

My cousin and I spent 2 nights at Millbrook House Hotel and we loved our short stay there. It was like a step back in time with decor but helpfulness + friendliness from the staff more than made up for it. Our room was comfortable and clean, it looked out onto garden with sea in the distance. Toiletries, slippers, tea...

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for five days. In my opinion the good points are, the friendly staff , the good location within walking distance of St Helier sea front and shopping area. The lovely views from our bedroom of the gardens and the sea in the distance. The facilities in the room were adequate for our...

Garden room with doors leading to grass bank and verdant planting. We liked the host and friendly staff. Very peaceful, good to return to our room and open the doors and sit and enjoy the peace. Good value breakfast and evening meals. We liked the wood lined drive and that buses were easy to access. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

We chose to stay at the Millbrook House Hotel on a short break to Jersey. The hotel is like stepping back in time being at the end of a long drive in the of middle suburbia surrounded by mature garden. Everything is spotless but dated and we could not fault our bedroom which was light and airy with sliding doors...

Very much like Fawlty Towers but not so well decorated. Stayed in Room one (single room. Dreadful décor/furniture. Tiniest shower/toilet in cupboard. Horrid large insect in bed one night. Room over kitchen very noisy and view of garden was actually a little piece of land next to car park. Left after 2 days. Went for their description "restful and relaxing"...

Millbrook House is a traditional, old fashioned hotel. It is reasonably priced with friendly hard working staff. Very generous help yourself breakfast with a good choice of cereals, fruit, croissants and traditional cooked breakfast (cooked breakfast is from a hotplate, but they are happy to cook your egg fresh if you prefer). Dinner is mostly plain simple food with limited...

Although staff were very welcoming and helpful, the whole hotel was very fawlty towers-esque! Very dated 70s/80s like decor, carpets were stained and in desperate need of replacement and shower was just a handheld head with an unstable temperature. However, overall the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good, but we weren't allowed to sit in the conservatory...

The hotel exudes an air of faded gentility, which, in my opinion, adds to its charm. From the traditional decor (including many pieces of antique furniture) to the owner, M. Pirouet, we found the whole atmosphere enchanting. The gardens, though somewhat overgrown, are fascinating, as if you might expect any moment to find Frances Hodgson Burnett's Secret Garden! There was...
