From the photos showing the old stone frontage I'd expected this hotel to be more like a French chateau set in its own grounds, so was surprised to find it tucked up a side street, and a busy one at that. But it's well located just off the sea front (turn up by the Grand Hotel)and a good base for...

Definitely full of character! Rooms are clean..beds comfy...bed linen good. Interior reflects the style of property so don't expect a boutique style interior but then you can see that from the hotel pictures. Enjoy the charm! Ensuite clean with complimentary soap/shampoo.....bathroom small but adequate with bath and shower in room we had...not power shower but works fine and plenty of...

We booked a long weekend via BA Holidays and choose The Revere. Overall impression was good, the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Particular mention to Alex in the restaurant and Tony in the Bar. Decor is a bit worn in areas and gives off a being stuck in the 1970s, The outside Pool area...

Thank you very much for your lovely comments and constructive remarks. We have had some recurrent problems with the water pressure during the last couple of weeks in one corridor that affected a number of rooms including yours. Please accept our apologies. The issue is being dealt with as we speak and the problem is being sorted. We are glad...

Old world and traditional describes the general feel of the bar, restaurant and amenity areas with a lovely pool. Well positioned for the town, seafront and marina. The road has a good selection of restaurants and the evening meals in their own restaurant was to a good standard. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and the room sizes...

You get a warm welcome when arriving at the Revere. Initial impression is a tired looking hotel but once you've settled in you see it in a different light. The collection of antique furniture and ornaments are wonderful and give the hotel a warm feel. This and the wonderfully helpful and friendly staff make it a very pleasurable stay. I...

We chose this hotel for two reasons: it's based on an old coach house so really has atmosphere and it has a location a few minutes walk from the city centre and 100 yards from the beach. We were not disappointed. As soon as you walk in you see the stone walls and comfortable armchairs and the staff could not...
