I fear farmer Carrie has confused him or herself. No food has been served at the Foresters other than the odd toasted sandwich since September. Luckily for me the kitchen re-opens in January. What a little gem. Old fashioned traditional bar usually frequented by interesting and polite characters. Nice roaring fire and a great pint.

The previous review stated that they'd had a bad meal in October. The new owners didn't actually take over until 26/10 so probably didn't produce this food. The new owners Karina and Ian, are lovely people very accomodating, and will make this lovely pub a great place to eat and drink once the structural work is finished, in the meantime come...

A recommendation from a sailing buddy prompted me to walk out to The Forrsters on a recent passage. I'm delighted I made the effort. With a very welcoming landlady and really friendly locals we had a great craic, soaking up some of the booze with a generous helping of cheesy chips. If I had not been staying on a boat...

We stayed in Guernsey for a couple of nights and had an evening meal here, steak pie mash and peas to be precise, the meal was lovely and hot and I enjoyed every last morsel with a drink. The pub is on the sea front and in a good location, service very good and I wished I had eaten here...

Lovely view to the sea from the two letting rooms. Beds very comfortable, slept like logs! Breakfasts excellent. A marvellous base within walking distance to town. Landlady very pleasant and helpful. Would highly...

Linda and the crew in the pub were all very kind welcoming. Easy walking distance to ferries and town. Good food in pub and if the kitchen isn't going Ian or Mick can help you get local takeout. If looking for posh and stuffy this isn't it! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Guernsey.

This is just a fabulous place to stay, traditional pub with good rooms above, not many so book early. Welcome from Linda is so genuine, we were so well looked after - this is such a cool place. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Guernsey.

Just spent a week here. One of the few remaining traditional pubs left in St Peter Port. The landlady Linda was very welcoming and went out of her way to make our stay exceptional. The views from the bedrooms are great and so is the food. Very good value for money. Its a great place to stay to get a...
