A top class hotel our room was extremely comfortable with a fantastic view over the harbour to to Herm, Jetou and Sark. Helpful, friendly staff and delicious food make this a great place to spend a couple of nights and visit Guernsey's pretty capital town, St Peter Port. The only drawback was finding our way through narrow roads and a...

Dear Carolyn, Many thanks for you review. We appear to be Guernsey's best kept secret, i have tried to seek permission to erect the necessary signage, but regret am not making much headway, i will keep trying. However i am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Yours sincerely Simon Dufty General Manager

We had a room in the new part of the building, with a magnificent view over St Peters Port harbor. Spacious, quiet, very clean. BUT... no safe deposit box in the room (unbelievable in 2015) and no fridge (for us less a problem). The hotel itself lies on top of a hill, a (very) steep climb from the town. Breakfast...

Dear Ronald, Thank you for your review, and I am delighted overall that you enjoyed your stay with us. The situation regardin individual rooms safe's is on my agenda and i will resolve that as soon as i can. With regards to fridges, this appears to be less of an issue for you, as it is for me, but I...

I have stayed at La Fregate on a number of occasions for business but decided this time to bring my wife and spend a few days seeing this beautiful island as tourists. The hotel is very good indeed. The harbour view room we had was well appointed and has magnificent views over St Peter Port. We can also highly recommend...

Thank you for your feedback, and I am delighted you managed to enjoy some leisure time with your wife, and hoepfully some reasonable weather. The reason for the fibre filled duvets was that a number of regular visitors are allergic to feathers, so we felt it easier to offer fibre filled as our standard and have feather filled ones as...

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this welcoming hotel. The room was very comfortable and well equipped - the air conditioning was appreciated in this current heat. Beautiful views from the balcony overlooking St. Peter's Port. Excellent breakfast in the Restaurant and enjoyed drinking my coffee sat in the sun on the terrace. Friendly, helpful staff....

This hotel is central to St Peter Port, although difficult to find - down a very narrow road that doesn't look like an entrance to a hotel car park. The breakfast is staffed by young people from different countries who are trying to improve their English language skills. There was one lovely young woman (I think from Estonia) who was...

Many thanks for your review. I am delighted overall that you seemed to enjoy your stay with us. I am sorry that the breakfast service let us down with our new members of staff joining the team whose Engkish was not up to standard. Their primary reason for being here is to improve their waiting skills and secondly to improve...

We were delighted to be upgraded to a newish room in the new build, no shower , but we remembered it was large, had a balcony and a huge bed! A few days before we went I was telephoned and asked if I would like a room with a walk in shower.... yes please, I said. Be warned! the room...

It was a pleasure having you back with us again. The constraints of an old building, whilst having lots of charm, can sometimes be restrictive. The new wing, as a purpose built extension, has the space, but no walk in showers. I do hope the walk in shower. We will always have the choice, the descision is yours, subjest to...

Difficult to find, believe your sat nav when it tries to take you down a narrow lane that looks like a one way street. The sign says no through traffic. A sign to the hotel at this point would help. However once there the hotel is worth the trip At the end of o rambling mix of buildings our room...

Thank you for your review. Signage would be of great help to us, but regrettably, the Island or the owner of the various walls will not allow us to erect signs. However, i am delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future. Yours sincerely Simon Dufty General Manager

Visited friends in Guernsey and decided to try La Fregate - very nice hotel and the breakfast was good. But my single room was so so small - the bathroom was as big as the room!! I was only there for one night so not too much of a problem and it was relatively well equipped, but could not have...

Thank you for your review. As you will have noticed your single room and the only other one in the hotel are in the original building and therfore restricted by thick granite walls, we are unable to anything about the size. However I am delighted most other aspects of the hotel were to your liking. Simon Dufty General Manager

A mix of both for this trip with meetings Friday and Sat morning I didn't want anywhere to amongst it with an early start. Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. Half the hotel has a completely new plumbing system, but the old part of the building is a little more challenging and the only way we could give all rooms a shower with decent pressure was to install these power shower boxes. Look forward to seeing you next time....
