The staff being very pleasant, the hotel spotlessly clean, with a quirky theme, beautiful little garden with views out to the harbour and in a convenient position for restaurants, excursions by bus, walking round the island and ferries to Herm, Sark etc, I CAN FORGIVE the fact our bed was against the wall so I had to slide off the... Hello, Thanks for taking to time to respond to us with your thoughts on Tripadvisor, rather than bringing any of it to our attention personally. I can only apologise for the disturbance in retrospect, however I'm quite surprised that you didn't feel you could mention any concerns you had to a member of my team or to myself. This was... More

We had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel. It is spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. Our room shared a terrace overlooking St Peter Port and was a great place to sit and read or just watch the world go by. Yes, the rooms aren't big but who wants to spend their time in the room... Hello eandc27, Thank you both for taking the time to give us some feedback. We couldn't agree more that there's no better place to sit and watch St Peter Port than here on the terrace (but only if we had the same weather you were lucky enough to have!) From the team and myself, thank you for spending your time... More

It's up a steep flight of steps, but they warn you about that. Our room was tastefully decorated, well equipped and clean. It was smaller than some, but big enough for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had access to a balcony, shared with other rooms. This had great views over the port, but the downside that some other... More

Really loved our stay at Ziggurat. We stayed in Room 4 which was a double with a shared terrace and harbour views - nice place to relax after a day out. Room was spotlessly clean and bed was super-comfy. Shower was hot and powerful - wish ours was as good at home! Breakfast was nice - good quality produce, tasty... More

On the good side, this hotel is spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. It has a unique feel, the staff are very friendly, and the room we were in had a shared terrace with table and chairs overlooking St Peter Port; a lovely place to sit at the end of a day exploring the island. However, the room was very... More

My son booked this amazing authentic hidden gem of a restaurant for a suprise birthday meal. Wow:) what a lovely venue. So different to the run of the mill table in the middle of a room. Fantastic views, amazing authentic morrocan food in an relaxing environment. If your looking for something different with sophisticated edge. You won't be disappointed.

Room was small but well laid out. Very clean and stylish hotel. Be aware the hotel cannot be accessed from the road so requires a walk up a lot of steps but the view from my room and the bar/Resturant area was well worth it. The staff were very helpful and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who... More

We stayed at Ziggurat over the August bank holiday weekend and had a great time. I honesty haven't come across staff as friendly and accommodating as those working at Ziggurat. The rooms are modern and decorated to a high standard. My only minor gripe would be that the bathroom was a tad small. We only ate breakfast at the hotel... More

Had dinner with friends, awesome service and awesome food. Some of the best Morrocan food I have had. Would be nice if they added a steak for friends that would like to come but don't like Morrocan food. Fantastic views and something very different for Guernsey.

Stayed here for a few days from the 13/8/16 whilst visiting family. I will get the one and only negative( for some people) out the way first.... steps to the hotel. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you are the type of person who is bored with the bland impersonality of chain hotels and faceless organisations, then this might be just the place for you. We don't have all the amenities of the big monolith hotel institutions, but instead we offer more subtle benefits such as a warm friendly ambiance, a sense of bonhomie and a genuine personal passion for making your stay as wonderful as it possibly can be. Right in the centre of town, just a 3 minute walk to Market Square, Ziggurat has the very unusual advantage of being totally central and yet feeling like you have been transported to another world. See the hustle and bustle of town and the retreat here for good music, lively conversation and an extremely comfy bed. When staying with us we want you to relax and feel like you are at home. It's an informal atmosphere - no stiffly pressed starchy matching uniforms, no bored receptionist, no nightly turn-down and not even a smidgen of towel art. It's a place of fun, of good times and a hub to enjoy meeting people from all over the world who, for some reason or other, have ended up landing on Guernsey's shores. We would love to take the time to sit down with you to share coffee, drinks, ideas and hear a little about your life story. This is our work, our passion and where we spend the majority of our time, so it is important we enjoy the Ziggurat experience as much as you do. ... more   less
