Booked in here for a couple of days having had to move from the pub next door due to them having a kitchen refit. Were given the keys to room 12 which can only be described as a bunker. So small we could not unpack our bags, no wardrobe..no anything & enjoying being located right next to the kitchens with...

We had a delicious lunch here. The pub has an outstanding location on the banks of a river. We sat inside, but in the sunshine it would be very relaxing sitting at the tables by the river.Good variety of food served quickly. Our meals were tasty with large portions.Staff were friendly and helpful.

My partner and I stopped here for lunch recently and I would say it was average, a lovely pub in a beautiful setting, staff were pleasant. The food was average, quite expensive. The main issue I had was the cost of the drinks, £6.05 for a pint of coke and half lemon and lime. I did actually queriey this as...

This large pub is in a brilliantly picturesque country spot. River, old stone bridge nice old building. Actually a large and very busy pub with good food at fair prices. One of the order at the bar type places. I cannot remember the exact dishes the three of us in my party had but I do recall we enjoyed ourselves...

Fantastic place to stay - the staff were very helpful and the food was excellent, including the full English Breakfast. Lovely setting beside the river and a great end to a short break in Devon and Cornwall.

The indifference of the 3 serving bar staff on our arrival who successfully avoided even eye contact as opposed to acknowledging our existence with a polite ‘someone will be with you shortly’, completely ignored us for several minutes when we wanted to check in did not bode well. Catching the attention of a fourth member of staff she spoke to...

A most beautiful and picturesque vista is seen as you approach The Cot from over the bridge. Reception was in fact the bar which initially confused us a little but everything was in order and our room was spotless. We had a drink before dinner just outside the bar area which overlooked the river and even though seemed busy was...

Management response:

Thank you very much for lovely and honest review and I appreciate the 4 in regards to the power points in your room. This is something we hope will be looked at during our next surveyors meeting. In the meantime I will purchase extra extension adapters to accommodate any future guests. Thank you for your feedback as I'm sure this...

Lovely setting right by the river. Take a healthy appetite with you as the meals are of a very good size. I couldn't finish my Steak and ale pie. Saying that, my husband and the friend we were with were both asked if they wanted a small portion or the standard. The service was very good and all the staff...

Whenever we pass through Tiverton/Bickleigh we make sure of a booking at the Fisherman's Cot - either for a night's stay or a nice dinner in pretty surroundings. A booking appears essential as the place is very popular. Staff is always helpful and friendly which makes the whole experience even more pleasant.

Quaint and everything we needed .the beer was great , varied bar, great place to sit outside and observe the heron and wildlife, the fish and eels. Thank you for being so helpful . We did not eat here but were able to consume very cold delightful beer.
