We enjoyed an overnight stay at Northcote Manor on our way down to Cornwall. Not the easiest place to find but once we found it we were impressed with the surroundings. We had a comfortable bedroom and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only downside was having to pay £45 each for a three course evening meal and another...

We received a very warm welcome from Morgan who like many of the other staff was friendly and provided very good service. The room did not have a proper shower so asked for another room and given a disabled room for some reason, when there were only about five rooms occupied throughout our two night stay. Very noisy from occupants...

Positives: lovely old building with history. Nice grounds and surrounded by woodland. Very quiet, no traffic noise, just birds singing. Our room was small but adequate, nice furniture with coffee, tea, hairdryer, toiletries. We had a lovely view of the lawns at the front of the building. Room was warm and generally clean. Bed turned down in the evening whilst...

Few things in life are perfect - but this hotel comes close. Wonderful friendly staff and very welcoming. Evening restaurant food exceptionally cooked and presented, also excellent breakfasts. Beautiful location, peaceful and tranquil. Special thanks to Morgan, Sam and Simon who were very helpful.

We went to an evening mel for a special family occasion. Birthdat cake provided!. Set price of £45 for four courses but choice of menu within courses. Nouvelle cuisine always looks pretty but could d with more substance. Friendly and efficient staff

The best bit of this hotel stay was the very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings, excellent condition of the rooms and building itself. The evening meal and breakfast could not be faulted. All in all we had a lovely time.

The hotel is tucked away in a tranquil spot in the middle of nowhere so a sense of peace and tranquillity was abundant. This is the place to go if you need to wind down, enjoy peace and quiet and listen to the bleating of lambs and the chirping of birds. The hotel has an amazing history which is detailed...

Beautiful location, friendly and very professional staff, perfect room/suite and excellent food. The hotel has a warm Victorian style that soon grows on you and the staff made sure that we had everything we wanted. Even Terry the gardener went out of his way to inform us about the wildlife and flora and fauna. And thanks to Henry for his...

Our third stay at the Northcote Manor and we were not disappointed. Once again, a warm welcome from the staff, a comfortable room and fabulous food. Whilst some hotels we have stayed in this year purport to be fine dining they come nowhere near the standard of the Northcote Manor restaurant. It is not just the great menus and the...

Third visit over the last couple years, again did the travel zoo gourmet evening and upgraded the room to the northcote suite. Staff all superb, the room is very large with a nice long bath and separate power shower. The evening meal was absolutely amazing if anything a little bit too much the second dessert was huge. Great place always...
