Beautiful surroundings, wonderful Magnolia tree! Very nice, welcoming agreeable staff. Wonderful Chef in the kitchen. The breakfast was also superb and very generous. Unusually very good coffee. We planned to go into Ashburton in the evening for dinner, but the hotel had wonderful really fresh on the menu - so no need to leave hotel.

Love the fact this B&B is not pretentious in any way - it is comfortable, welcoming & the food is gorgeous. Its also a lovely old building with lots of history & also incredibly central to so many tourist spots

Visited Furzeleigh Mill last night for a meal with our club. Have often wondered what this place was like as I have ventured up and down the A38 over the years and now I know........ The bar space was a bit uninspiring and small but the lady behind the bar was lovely and sorted us out with drinks. There were...

Just stayed the one night due to work. Looks impressive from outside and was clean and tidy inside. Not very modern more of a country traditional theme but everything you need in room (tea, coffee, hot chocolate with biscuits mmmm). Didn't have breakfast due to early leave but they did supply a takeaway sandwich (nice touch)......worth the money as the...

Family Christmas lunch in this old mill. Looks quite nice from the outside but inside has not been refurbished for decades - although clean the chairs and carpets were very dated - there comes a time when repainting is not enough! The food was totally uninspiring, mostly out of the freezer and very pricey too. We felt very out of...

The accommodation was fine. It wasn't special but the room was clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable. En suite was the same - served its purpose and clean. TV worked and tea/ coffee facilities were adequate. Owner was friendly. For what I paid (£36), it did its job as a basic B&B service. Would use again as a one...

The Furzeleigh Mill is a first class find. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the home cooked food was excellent. The room very comfortable and very clean. The only problem was the size of the en-suite loo/shower, which was really tiny in the room we had. This hotel also has very fine gardens which were a delight to discover....

We have just spent two nights at Furzeleigh Mill, the owners were very welcoming and everything was clean and comfortable. The decor maybe dated but this was not a problem and added to the charm of the place. We had an evening meal and a Sunday lunch for a family birthday and the food was home cooked and delicious. We...

We stayed here recently bed and breakfast for 2 nights and found the mill to be ideally located for our needs and comfortable but the decor was stuck in. The early 1970's.. I can see that it could be a first class venue if someone had the skill to sensitively update the bedrooms , bar and dining areas. Everywhere was...
