A perfect location on the moor. Able to walk to the river and have a swim. A lovely cream tea cafe in Holne. There was only one toilet and shower for girls and the same for the boys, which caused inevitable queueing. You had your own fire pit which was lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

Just arrived home from our 2 night trip in one of the shepherds huts, myself my husband and my nearly 3 year old son had a great time. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, the toilets were clean, all basic but just what you need. For all the people writing bad reviews about things out of the owners control need...

This is a lovely campsite. The pitches are on tiered terraces, which means that it feels quite private. There is a stream at the bottom of the campsite which the children played in. We had a lovely camp fire. As a Duke of Edinburgh Group we were made to feel very welcome and I would happily use this site again.

My partner and I stayed for the Easter break. The site is situated in a lovely peaceful setting. With amazing views of the stars at night. Unfortunately the site got very waterlogged due to the amount of rain. Definitely needed wellies! This made getting the van on and off the camping field difficult. The facilities comprise of 1 toilet and...

A perfect place for showing kids what it's mean real camping. With a great location inside Natural Park, family friendly, with basic sanitary side (very clean condition), fireplaces and extremely friendly owned. Surprised amazing chill atmosphere there and quiet evenings :) LOVE this place, come back next year!

Went this weekend with two young kids not knowing what to expect, but to say I was overwhelmed is an understatement. Would highly recommend to anyone, will most definitely be back in the near future!! A great place as a base to go exploring around, and loads to do for kids of all ages. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed for 3 nights on this lovely camp side. Exactly what we where looking for quiet, only 10 pitches and in a beautiful location down a windy country lane. Our pitch had its own fire pit and we build a fire every night. The toilets and showers are clean and the kitchen area has a fridge and sinks with...

This place does exactly what it say on the tin. It is secluded, peaceful and really basic, just what we were looking for. We were fortunate to get the far end of the lower field, next to the brook. Camp fires and marshmallows every night. The two pubs in walking distance, less than a mile, are both friendly and welcoming....

What a perfect retreat. Exactly what my partner and I were looking for. Quiet, charming, secluded. The hut had everything you needed for the location. Facilities were as you expect for a campsite set deep in Dartmoor. The owners friendly and helpful. The hut itself was adorable. Plenty of fresh air. Camp fires. Lazy days. I would highly recommend this...

We booked on to the site - to pitch our own Bell tent - hoping for a a quiet site away from the glam and noise of some other sites. We got what we wanted. Libby was really welcoming. Don't expect order - thats not what its about but the pitches are well marked and facilities good.. The site is...
