I was treated to a luxury spa experience over the Easter holiday. Beautiful facilities with an amazing hydrotherapy pool and steam room. We were lucky to time our visit on a day with warm sunshine and managed to sit outside for lunch. Looking forward to my next visit.

Living locally we haven't stayed here but tried the dining options for the first time recently. The Blue Tiger Inn is an excellent alternative for a more informal dining setting. The 4 in our party tried a good range of items from the menu and all were excellent. Not large portions but we like it like that, superbly prepared. Staff...

Took family down for 6 nights in a 2 section suite room. Lovely staff, lovely setting, good food, brilliant breakfasts, pet friendly (but only in specific rooms). Clean and modern Spa and gym. Great for access to Dartmoor and A38. Close to Haytor and it's amazing vistas. Used the Spa a lot and hat fabulous facial. ONLY downside is the...

Stayed for three nights and enjoyed the food, comfortable beds, fabulous views of the moors. Found the stay very relaxing. Lovely car rides across the moors to Widecombe and the Tors. The dining room looks out onto the garden - great room for a wedding party.

Stayed nearby and the restaurant was recommended as fine dining. Booked a table in the main restaurant, the bar and lounge areas were very well maintained and the staff and service excellent. We arrived and shown to the lounge and a waiter brought drinks and nibbles and took our orders. Shown to the dining room which is very 1950's but...

Dear Masher_57, Thank you for taking the time to write and we are sorry that the meal did not live up to your expectations. There are many positives from your comments and we thank you for highlighting those. You were, indeed, towards the back of the dining room, but the Restaurant was full and you did book last minute. We came on a spa/dinner offer. Have to say the spa is fabulous. Steam, sauna, pool and jacuzzi. Very relaxing atmosphere . Then dinner in the Blue Tiger. The steak was very good although could have done with more and a variety of sides. The treacle sponge was nice but just a touch cooler than I would have liked. My...

A return visit after a two year absence was most welcome and just as enjoyable as ever! Lovely room, superb location and excellent food. Best of all was the superb new spa which we all enjoyed! Particularly recommended are the treatment rooms where one can relax and enjoy a wonderful soothing massage amongst a host of other luxuries.

We booked for a quiet evening meal for two in the bistro and enjoyed delicious food and wine, but a loud party of 6 at the far end of the room made it hard to converse, due to the hard décor and echo. All in all though, a very pleasant evening. And wonderful desserts!

We love this hotel and have stayed several times. It is particularly good now that the new spa is open. Imagine relaxed lounges with a roaring fire and comfortable, large rooms. However, this time, we did not experience a good night's sleep due to the poor soundproofing in the hotel meaning we could hear EVERYTHING in room upstairs from us...
