Breakfast very limited - no fresh or stewed fruit, no yoghurt. Cooked breakfast small portions, limited options, and lukewarm. Toiletries minimal. Double room lovely with views over wooded landscape. Twin room at back of property just average, very limited view. Host switches wifi off at 10.00pm because of health issues with emissions. If you ask though you can get an...

I am so sorry that your visit did not meet your expectations. We welcome single guests but as we only have king/twin rooms, there is a supplement which naturally increases the price for single occupancy. A generous english breakfast is freshly cooked to order at your request and to your liking. As well as other options, we offer fresh fruit...

Caroline and David were very welcoming from the moment we arrived at their comfortable and stylish B&B. The en suite bedroom was very attractively furnished and my husband and I slept soundly in the comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and generous - including the offer of seconds - although with limited conversation between my husband and I because we were...

Caroline and David were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely (with a very comfortable bed) and spotlessly clean with a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent and served in the conservatory with a beautiful view of their lovely garden and the valley, so it was very tempting to linger. Bob the dog was made very welcome and enjoyed...

The views from here are absolutely stunning. The house and garden are lovely, the bedroom is comfortable, the ensuite with its underfloor heating positively luxurious, hosts Caroline and David are very thoughtful and considerate and Caroline's cooked breakfast, with its locally sourced sausages and eggs, delicious. Wonderful relaxing stay.

What a lovely surprise behind the sturdy wooden gates: easy parking and a gently winding path of stone to the front door. A lovely garden and views across the wooded valley from the conservatory where breakfast is taken. A very comfortable bed, excellent en suite and tasteful furnishings completed the experience, not forgetting the welcome extended by Caroline and David....

I stayed here at new year and I recommend to all. Absolutely delightful house and owners. Felt so comfortable Wonderful views from the immaculate garden. A real must. A car is necessary as there are a million visits to make around the moor. Quaint little villages and towns. Ex ford itself has two lovely eating hotels to walk to.

My husband, our dog and I returned to Holmdale at the end of September. Comfortable, cosy, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfasts and charming hosts. Caroline, Dave and Poppy couldn't have made us the three of us feel more welcome. A delightful spot in the centre of Exmoor National Park within easy walking distance of two very dog-friendly pubs/hotels. Dunkery Beacon rises...

We have just had a really enjoyable 4 day break on Exmoor. The accommodation at Holmdale was excellent. Caroline and David made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooked breakfasts, with a fantastic view of the garden and countryside while we were eating. We hope to go back sometime. Jenny & Graham

A friend and I went for a walking break and stayed 3 nights at this delightful place. Caroline was an excellent host, always helpful but never intrusive. The accomodation is very comfortable and very quiet and the view from the breakfast room is breathtaking. Exford is a charming place with two pubs and a tea room plus lots of opportunity...
