The barn hotel is a lovely hotel too look at and we did have a lovely view from our room(room 12) and the honesty bar is a nice touch. However I really don't think it was worth 90 pounds a night to stay there, our room, while okay had a wonky toilet seat, no anti-slip mat and no shower curtain...

We booked this hotel as the pictures online were so enticing and we were definitely not disappointed with the views! Located about 20 minute drive from Exeter airport (we flew down from London), it is located just a short walk to the beach front. We arrived before lunchtime as we had a family function to go to, however whilst our...

I still haven't decided on a rating while I write. There is no arguing that the Arts and Crafts building that is The Barn is stunning. The unusual butterfly shape is worth a drive past even if you don't want to stay. Despite the way this place is presented it is definitely an above average b&b not an hotel. Cheryl...

This hotel was on a dog friendly places to stay website and was selected because we were bringing our small dog with us, we phoned before booking just as confirmation. On arrival, early we knew but we just wanted to drop the car and walk to the beach, the owner approached us say it she was just going to Tesco...

My annual trip back to The Barn reminded me how lovely this old building is. The decor and furniture is in keeping with the age of the building, despite what I have read on other reviews, I feel this adds to the charm, modern furniture would be soooooooo out of place here. The bathrooms are the same, characterful in keeping...

This hotel (well in reality serviced rooms) is in a fabulous location, good views etc. Nice old building, lounge and garden with views across the estuary. Friendly welcome on arrival from a lady based in the house next door, it really should have been a great place to stay. There are no staff on site, hence when you do meet...

Lovely hotel. Very near the beach. We used it as a base to go cycling. Breakfast lovely. Cheryl was lovely. I left my favourite red blazer at the hotel and she returned it for me in the post. Lovely weather and lovely patio area to relax on. Really near the sea and shops and resterants. Thanks for a great stay.

As a regular visitor to Exmouth, I was pleased to find this hotel, which looked lovely, when our favoured hotel was full. The room was ok for one night, the bed was comfortable enough. There was no internet available although it was listed and no 3G signal. After a good nights sleep and a feeble shower over the bath, we...

When we booked this 'hotel' there was just room available, when we clicked on the availble room the picture changed to a large twin bed room , we chose this. When we arrived at the hotel we were horrified by the run down appearance but still foolishly rang the bell. This is not a hotel, with no staff resident and...

I was delightfully surprised by this little hotel, chosen initially for the cheapness of the room. It is a beautiful turn of the century arts and crafts movement building on a hill overlooking the sea, with lovely garden. My room had everything I needed and more, and the full English breakfast in the morning was fantastic - and included in...
