Wife and I stayed 25th and 26th on an n crowd deal. On arrival , Robert greated us, gave us our room keys and a bottle of prosecco. Our room was the Churchill room. Put our gear in the room, then had a fabulous hour in the sunshine drinking prosecco and lager on the patio. Our room was excellent, large,...

Stayed here on a three night deal and was delighted by the personal service of the owners who take pride in their hotel, the outside looks great with hanging baskets and a pleasing appearance. We were welcomed by Richard who was helpful and interesting. The hotel is situated in the middle of a village next to the road. Our room...

Came here via a ncrowd deal, and thought it good value, on arrival we were greeted and given our keys to our room - Thatcher Room - and wondered why a hotel would name their rooms after political personalities, particularly when no "Thatcher" memorabilia was in the room, strange. Our room was functional, clean & tidy, but totally lacking in...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on an a crowd deal. We had a lovely time. Our room was spacious,well-appointed and very clean and tidy. The four course taster menu was delicious, with some quite unusual combinations, which were highly successful. Breakfasts were tasty with a decent amount of choice. We had our evening meal in the bar on...

We've just returned home from a weekend at Lifton Hall Hotel. It was our first holiday with our 4 month old baby. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is nicely decorated. The bar area is very cosy. The room we were in was a great size and the power shower was brilliant (there was a bath too)....

Initially disappointed after reading such good reviews. Sherwell Room decor was tired and ceiling painted in shocking pink wouldn't suit most guests. However, the room was clean, bed, carpet and chair were fine as was the newish bathroom. The breakfast was good using quality ingredients-would have enjoyed fresh fruit. We stayed on an NCrowd deal for two nights which included...

We used the Lifton Hall as a base to see Dartmoor, Tavistock area, and Cornwall coasts. It makes a great retreat to relax, recover and enjoy great dining. Richard and Robert run a fine hotel where the service is very efficient but with a friendly feel. At whatever hour you encounter the staff, nothing is too much trouble and it...

Stopped in a few times for drinks and food whilst staying locally. So helpful and genuine and the food was divine. The steak just melted in your mouth. Warm welcome and will definitely consider this as a base for touring the area.

We stayed with a voucher deal and booked an Easter break fairly last minute. We brought our four legged friend and were a little worried about leaving him in a strange room when we hadn't long arrived and were having dinner. Luckily he was allowed in the bar and we ate our evening meals in there instead of the restaurant....
