April 2012 - weather not good, but accommodation, food and little extra personal touches by our hosts, Anne and David, made our first visit to Cleeve House Hotel most enjoyable and relaxing. Other guests had been coming for years - such a good recommendation - and we can see why!! Will definitely be coming again. Bobbie & Graham T, Cambridge

This was our first visit to Cleeve House and as it was out of season we stayed in the self catering apartment on the top floor. When we arrived we were greeted by Anne who had baked her famous scones for us which was a very nice start to our holiday! The apartment has everything you need for a short...

Anne and David are exceptional hosts. Their home made food is exceptional especially the cream tea on arrival and home sweets with coffee! Nothing is too much trouble and I would recommend anyone looking for a beautiful location and wonderful food stay at Cleeve House.

We were the only 'first-timers', which says something about the quality of the hotel. The food is exceptional: basic fresh English ingredients, cooked to perfection. The evening menu changes every day. The hosts, Anne and David, are most welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are delighful, if a little small. The whole package is extremely good value...

You really could not wish for better. Very comfortable, clean and lots of extras provided. The breakfast choice is huge, and the evening meals cooked to perfection with great ingredients. Anne and David always go the extra mile and we have enjoyed many stays at Cleeve House. Thank you once again for making our long weekend special.

This was our sixth visit to Anne and David's lovely hotel and were greeted with cream tea. We stayed in the Brown room which had a very large comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. There was everything you could possibly want provided in the bedroom, even a proper shoe cleaning kit. Both the breakfasts and the evening meals were superb....

The attention to detail, comfort and care was exceptional, as was the quality of the breakfasts and evening meals. We booked 3 nights and wished very much we could stay a lot longer. Mortehoe itself is delightful.

We stayed at Cleeve House for three nights in August 2010 and returned for three nights in August this year. The proprietors, Anne and David, again made us very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly care about the welfare of their guests. The accommodation and food were excellent. Situated in the centre of Mortehoe, there are excellent...

We were warmly greeted by our hosts and thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming home made cream tea in the comfortable lounge. When we were ready David showed...
