We visited this pub for a few drinks one Saturday evening. It boasts the accolade "Britain's most unusual pub" and it certainly delivers on that. The building has been around since the 1200s and it's just fascinating to behold. Inside it's full of nooks and crannies to explore. It's just wonderful to take in all the trinkets and decorations. Sorry you had a bad experience at our inn. Not our intention at all. Disappointing for us too that you were not happy with the food. (It does not come from an Iceland store though.) I understand you were partly reimbursed for your meals. A little concerned one of your group felt the need to express his disatisfaction so aggressively....

Kinda stumbled upon this place with quirky and unique rooms plus delicious food it's must see and eat as portions are huge you will not be disappointed. I really would like to return again soon and try and stay in their bnb.

Last visited this pub about 40 years ago and I have to say it has lost none of its quirky charm! The layout of the pub was the brainchild of the father-in-law of the current licensee who was very friendly. We had a lovely meal, very reasonably priced. Will certainly visit again.

Just had a lovely meal here. Last came here about 40 years ago and it has not lost any of it's magic. If you love originality, this is the place to come. Worth coming just to see the ladies' "Super Loo"

We passed this pub whilst out for the day and just had to pop in. The pub was just about to close for the afternoon but we just had time for a swift half. We had three of the grandchildren with us and they thought it was brilliant. All the areas are themed and there are lots of little hideaway...

Great ale and food. Now that's out the way lets talk about the pub itself. If you want somewhere different, magical, touched by the elfs and fairies, perhaps even a witch then this is the pub for you. It's warm, cosy and truly a gem. Nooks and crannies, quirky decor and beams await your exploration. Untouched by the likes of...

We were staying in North Devon and found this quirky pub while looking for places to go . We drove to the highwayman and were not disappointed the place was so quirky ' creepy' interesting full artefacts & nooks and crannies everywhere and the galleon bar is worth the trip alone. We didn't eat but the food looked a bit...
