Our first time in North Devon and will definitely be back, Hotel was excellent but the staff made the stay even more enjoyable they went out of there way to make us feel at home as for the food that was superb you definitely will not eat anywhere else in the village and if you want to finish the breakfast...

We had arranged the Woolacombe Bay Hotel as a venue for my husbands party. We booked the Loft suite which was amazing and stayed the Friday night first where we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. In the evening we had a lovely meal in Doyle's restaurant on site, very tasty food. The next morning we had breakfast in our room...

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, but I have to agree with the review about disabled facilities. Staff are helpful, but clearly inexperienced when it comes to implementing their own accessibility procedures. I think the hotel would benefit from a third party access audit and actually testing their services in focus groups of people with disabilities. They...

My mother spent a small fortune on a family visit. We were in woolacombe to scatter my father's ashes, yet we spent far too much time dealing with this hotel's inability to deal with a visitor in a wheelchair Firstly, we were allocated a room with a huge step, despite it being explained when booking re my lack of mobility....

Stayed for 2 nights and we cannot fault this hotel. I booked it for my partners 30th Birthday and it really felt like a great choice. Staff were all extremely helpful, leisure facilities were great and not too overcrowded. We would also highly recommend booking a treatment in the Havan spa.

My wife and I took our two young grandchildren to Woolacombe Bay for a three night break, 12- 14th February. We had booked two nights but stayed one night extra. First Room 301 and the last night Room 106. Both rooms were beautifully clean and well appointed. Unfortunately my wife became ill at 07.00 on the second morning and required...

We stayed in the hotels flats, located just up the road from the main hotel. 2 bedrooms and plenty of space, especially if dogs are taken. We arrived on the 29th and spent a lovely time walking along the beach and using the hotels facilities. On NYE we attended the ball and had the most wonderful time, great setting, great...

We booked the New Year Break at this hotel after high recommendation from family who had visited before, and were not disappointed. The hotel itself is charming, the decoration and public rooms are excellent and well furnished. Our bedroom was facing the sea with a lovely balcony, on to which we ventured to enjoy the sight and smell of the...

This hotel is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in as I work up and down the country. The rooms are of a very high standard. The bathrooms are stylish and laid out well with plenty of thick quality towels. The staff are very friendly as if nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast at this hotel is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Much of the Hotel has been lovingly restored from the mid 1800's, creating it's unique and tranquil atmosphere. High ceilings, chandeliers and comfortable, quiet lounges are a testament to that era, and where first class modern amenities are required, they have been skilfully incorporated into the existing Woolacombe accommodation. We place high value on our staff. Trained to be attentive yet unobtrusive and to provide the kind of personal service that is so often hard to find. ... more   less
