Stunning 13th Century former priests' house within the picturesque town of Beaminster. Surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of West Dorset, and 7 miles from the Jurassic Coast. The Ollerod has 13 lovely individually styled rooms, and a fantastic restaurant and bar. Food is really the heart of The Ollerod with ex Michelin Starred Chef Chris Staines as the new owner.

We stayed for two nights for my wife's Birthday and loved the Ollerod! The food was amazing - easily on a par with high level London restaurants we have been lucky enough to eat in - imaginative combinations of tastes and beautifully cooked. All the staff were friendly and

New ownership and a new restaurant. It was a Tuesday night in January so the restaurant was a bit quiet. But good food, interesting flavours, combining Asian with traditional. Good addition to the local Dorset options.

It's difficult to write a better review than 'wrongsideof40'! Do read it, it is a perfect account of everything on offer at this excellent hotel. We also spotted the deal on Secret Escapes, but didn't upgrade. We had a beautiful room overlooking the gardens, with a massive

Dear Guest, Thank you for your question regarding showers/baths access. We have 2 rooms which would be suitable. The preferred choice would be ground floor, Room 5, which has a large walk in shower with a fold-up seat and grab handle. This is a Deluxe bedroom in the main house. Alternatively, we have four poster on the first floor with walk-in shower which is is easily accessible. There is a short flight of stairs to reach this bedroom (No 1). I hope this is helpful and if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to ask me. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel. Yours sincerely, Mark Donovan, Owner, BridgeHouse Hotel

Good morning JGBKRB, Breakfast is usually served from 8am to10am weekdays and 8.30am to 10.30am Saturday & Sunday. However, we are a small hotel and not slaves to convention. If you would like an earlier breakfast, we'll just get in a chef and a waitress earlier! Look forward to hearing from you. (It's amazing walking around here as you probably know - both countryside and coast)
