Stunning 13th Century former priests' house within the picturesque town of Beaminster. Surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of West Dorset, and 7 miles from the Jurassic Coast. The Ollerod has 13 lovely individually styled rooms, and a fantastic restaurant and bar. Food is really the heart of The Ollerod with ex Michelin Starred Chef Chris Staines as the new owner.

I was fortunate enough to have lunch here with friends in February. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming, attentive and polite. Sadly I do not live closer otherwise I would visit more often.

We had stayed before when it was the Bridge House Hotel and were emailed by the new owners so decided to spend an anniversary celebration there and see what it was like now. It was always excellent but I have to say that it is now outstanding. The food was superb - so good that

We had stayed here previously, very happily, when the hotel was under different ownership and a different name, so we were intrigued to visit again, taking advantage of a 'Secret Escapes' offer, on a dinner, bed and breakfast package, staying for two nights. The new owners have

Just read the others reviews - and they are so good - and you realise this - 'The Ollerod' is really quite special. Read ' wrong side of 40' for detail and ' Caroline B' for an interesting history. For my wife and I we wanted a short break, in a dog friendly hotel, in a

Dear Guest, Thank you for your question regarding showers/baths access. We have 2 rooms which would be suitable. The preferred choice would be ground floor, Room 5, which has a large walk in shower with a fold-up seat and grab handle. This is a Deluxe bedroom in the main house. Alternatively, we have four poster on the first floor with walk-in shower which is is easily accessible. There is a short flight of stairs to reach this bedroom (No 1). I hope this is helpful and if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to ask me. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel. Yours sincerely, Mark Donovan, Owner, BridgeHouse Hotel

Good morning JGBKRB, Breakfast is usually served from 8am to10am weekdays and 8.30am to 10.30am Saturday & Sunday. However, we are a small hotel and not slaves to convention. If you would like an earlier breakfast, we'll just get in a chef and a waitress earlier! Look forward to hearing from you. (It's amazing walking around here as you probably know - both countryside and coast)
