This was the first time I stayed at Seventy-seven. My room was wonderful - great view of the sea, traditional style, comfy bed and fantastic en-suite. Mark is a wonderful host - friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is a treat, lots of fresh fruit, great selection of teas. Sorry I didn't finish the black pudding! Highly recommended. Thank you Mark

I'm glad you enjoyed your time at Seventyseven. Hope the Ridgeway prog is coming along well. Black pudding can always be a bit hit and miss... as long as it's not over cooked. Hope to see you again, when your back with the crew... I'll try harder next time.

Excellent bed and breakfast, hosts Mark and Jo are very welcoming. Light and airy rooms, nicely decorated throughout. Lovely outside seating area. Didn't have breakfast, but sure it would have been good. Will definitely return, highly recommend.

Thanks for the review Louise, I'm glad you enjoyed your nostalgic trip to Portland. Hope the visit to the Castle lived up to billing and the crossing over to Weymouth by ferry wasn't to rough. Look forward to seeing you on your return.

Stayed for 2 nights over Easter - what a lovely B&B! Warm welcome, great room, wonderful breakfast - couldn't ever get bored of that view. Many thanks Mark and Jo - your new terrace is very special. Hope to visit again soon!

We stumbled into Portland from a long day's walk (and a long lunch at a pub along the way) and arrived at Seventyseven for a relaxing two night stay. Mark and Jo are wonderful hosts in their delightful home. Room was roomy and comfortable, facilities new and sparkling, you couldn't ask for a better place. Breakfasts were some of the...

Thank you John & Lisa for your glowing review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and the new balcony. Hope your onward journey is full of fossil bearing rocks, sunshine and not to much rain. Give my regards to Calgary. Mark & Jo

Staying here again; because as the title says I'm in a lovely room with a fabulous view, the breakfast is great, (pretty much anything you want from yoghurt and a nice pot of tea to the full English and good strong coffee) and the hosts are friendly and have great suggestions for things to do and see and places to...

Many thanks for your kind review... It is always nice to see returning guests... We are in the process of refreshing the rooms one at a time, to try and make your next experience even better. If your ever passing by pop in for a good strong coffee... in our soon to be completed lounge with access to the sea...

Seventy Seven has a less than inspiring entrance, a door on a rather traffic choked, narrow main road. Don't be deceived by this, the change, once through the door, is magical. We had a room on the second floor to the rear, a well-proportioned and quiet space with a lovely en suite and a fabulous view of Chesil beach. The...

It was great to see you back again. It must have been great to meet and catch up with your friends back on the 'Island'. Thank you for your comments about our 'magical' space, we do try to create an atmosphere where our guests can unwind and relax. Hope to see you many times in the near future... give my...

Mark and Jo have created a clean, homely, hospitable and accommodating b&b with a particularly lovely comfortable breakfast room/communal lounge. Fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, coffee, tea and toast and breakfast cooked to order every morning. In my top 3 revisited places. Seems Portland is popular even at the start of February judging by the walkers, runners and other energetic folk...

Came here after research and the many positive reviews on TripAdvisor.  Mark and Jo are as lovely, as the reviews suggest. As we weary, we had the fish and chips from opposite with puddings from the Co-op but Jo carefully laid out the table for us to eat and then chill out a bit on their lovely comfy sofas. They could not have made us feel...

Sorry we didn't have a seaview room for you... But we will be having a bit of a re-jig in the house... then everyone will have a sea view... if only at breakfast, but it's a start. Look forward to seeing you again if your ever passing this way again. Regards, Mark

I'm a stickler for cleanliness and so many hotels/B&Bs are not kept to a high enough standard, I could not fault Mark and Jo, my room was immaculate. 77 is a shining example of great hospitality. From the moment I arrived and Mark helped me up the stairs with the bags to the DELICIOUS cooked breakfast (with yoghurt and fruit,...

Mark and Jo are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Breakfast was excellent, it included fresh...
