Stayed here for work but would definitely go back for a short break. Old traditional hotel with views over river. Excellent food and service and nice quaint traditional building. Cosy hotel but with decent size rooms, Milton brown toiletries and comfy bed.

If you are in Wareham on a Sunday find time to enjoy a fabulous Sunday roast. Old fashioned hospitality and mouthwatering food with attentive but not overbearing staff. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and every mouthful. This is what hospitality is all about. Thank you to the chef and all the staff.

Pleasant Anniversary Evening Dinner, Very Good Food, Pianist setting a lovely atmosphere in the Lounge with pre dinner drinks and some nibbles. The priory is a lovely boutique hotel right on the River Frome. On arrival you certainly get the feeling of taste. A very enjoyable evening, all the staff were lovely, warm and attentive, everything was spot on, can...

Stayed one night (mid week) and had a very enjoyable time. Setting excellent, next to the river and quaint town, all surrounded by lovely open countryside. Stayed in a courtyard room which was both comfortable and spacious. Building has plenty of history and original features - the communal areas are all tastefully furnished and comfortable. We did however find the...

There are a number of events in life that give one something to really look forward to - one such is The Priory's February Value Lunch menu (£19.95). This time, and unusual for the time of year, we were offered the opportunity to eat outside, so idyllic was the temperature under clear skies, but we did decide to keep to...

Superb. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Menu was varied, interesting and more than adequate, and the wine list was extensive and sensibly priced. Service was unhurried and nothing was too much trouble and the option for after lunch coffee in the lounge overlooking the extensive gardens and the Wareham River was an added bonus.

We stayed for afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast in this beautiful old hotel, a converted priory in the famous old Saxon walled town of Wareham. It is full of nooks and crannies, with beautifully furnished and comfortable public rooms and individually decorated and furnished bedrooms/suites. The local staff could not have been more friendly, informative and helpful. We wished...

We arrived at the hotel on a cold and wet winters evening. Upon entering the hotel we were immediately welcomed by a member of staff. Our coats were taken and we were shown to seats in the bar area. This is a really cosy area which is in keeping with the rest of the property. We then embarked on a...

We booked a 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel. We took my 87 year old mother in law as a special treat. We were a little worried about the food as she is not the most adventurous eater. However, the food and service were both excellent. We each had a different dish for starter, main course and dessert every...

We had trouble finding it and then working out how to get into the car park! Room was lovely with superb views over garden and river. We loved sitting in the drawing room by the fire with our pre-dinner drinks. Cellar restaurant was quite cold on the first night. My meat eating partner loved the food but my vegetarian food...
