Called here for a meal. Haven't been for years and wanted somewhere a bit different for a very good friend who at 75 was retiring after 50 years as a priest. 4 of us called. To be honest didn't know that it was also a hotel. Lovely restaurant, with a great menu and our serving person was absolutely wonderful. She...

I attended the Winter Wine Evening in the Restaurant and was planning to stay over .......as it made more sense and was better value. Avril and Terry are great hosts. The property is quaint, homely and very comfortable with a very relaxed atmosphere. It is in a lovely location and with their son running an excellent restaurant - this place...

It was great value for top quality cooking with beautiful fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend a visit to this excellent venue a recommendation fully endorsed by...

Just returned from having afternoon tea at the old schoolhouse at lisbane Northern Ireland. We had a delicious selection of savouries, sandwiches and sweet treats. The service was excellent, and the attention to detail was very good. The old schoolhouse was very quaint and very clean. There was a little craft shop and food shop attached where you could buy...

Hi, this is a retrospective review, I stayed here whilst on business, and what a fantastic place. I never had the opportunity to eat in the restaurant , due to working late , but the lady who owned it did show me round, fantastic . The rooms were all named after US presidents , the breakfast was out of this...

Had a meal recently in the Old Schoolhouse and it was beautiful. Everything was cooked to perfection and the presentation was 1st Class. There was nothing that could be criticised. Service also was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive and very pleasant staff. We were there on a Saturday night and it was fairly quiet which was a shame as it...

I booked this resto/B&B because it is near the WWT reserve at Castle Espie. I was quite unprepared for the high quality of the rooms, the quietness and the excellence of the restaurant. The staff were outstanding. My only reservation would be the simple fresh-cooked breakfast, with apparently little choice. However, Terry made up for it with his warm welcome...

This is cooking at its best. Lovely ingredients, beautifully presented and really delicious food. It was quiet as we visited mid-week but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Let's hope we get to visit again soon.
